As I look back on my journey, I realize that I’ve grown in many ways—emotionally, mentally, and personally. There were moments when I struggled to understand myself, times when I doubted my strength, and days when I felt lost. But through all those experiences, I learned how to rise, heal, and appreciate life’s beauty even in its most uncertain moments.

One of the biggest changes in me is how I now value peace and gratitude more than perfection. I learned to let go of things that drain my energy and to focus on what truly matters—my family, friends, and my own well-being. I began to understand that growth doesn’t always come from comfort, but from challenges that shape who we become.

In my collage, I placed a sunset because it symbolizes endings that are still beautiful. It reminds me that every chapter, no matter how hard, will eventually come to an end—and that’s okay. Sunsets teach me acceptance and hope for a new beginning. I also added flowers because they represent growth, healing, and blooming after pain. Just like flowers, I’ve learned to grow through what I go through—to find light even after the storm.

What’s next for me is to continue becoming the best version of myself. I want to keep learning, keep loving, and keep appreciating every small progress I make. Life is not always easy, but I believe that with faith and courage, I can keep moving forward—just like the sun that always rises again and the flowers that never stop blooming.

Alemorin Jaira Nicole O. 11 ABM 3A

Soc Sci 3 Ms. Carolino

If I look back at who I was before, I can say I have grown in ways I never expected. I used to keep everything to myself, my worries, my doubts, even the things I wanted to achieve, because I was afraid of being judged or failing. But time has a way of teaching us lessons quietly. I learned that growth begins when you stop pretending you are fine and start understanding yourself for real.

Little by little, I began to listen to my thoughts and emotions. I learned to forgive myself for the mistakes I made and to be proud of how far I have come, even if no one else notices. I realized that personal development is not about changing who you are. It is about becoming more honest with yourself. It is about learning how to stand up again after life knocks you down and still choose kindness, hope, and courage.

What changed in me is my mindset. I no longer see struggles as signs of weakness but as reminders that I am still growing. I have learned that peace does not come from having a perfect life, but from accepting the imperfect moments and finding strength in them.

What is next for me is simple but meaningful. I want to keep becoming a better version of myself, one who does not rush, one who does not give up easily, and one who believes that even small steps still count as progress. My journey is far from over, but now I am walking it with more faith, self-love, and gratitude than ever before.

Jamela Micayabas 11 ABM 3-A Soc Sci 3 Ms. Carolino

───────────────୨ৎ───────────────

Before having this subject, I felt like doing fine with how I handle emotions, stress, and decisions. I already had my own ways of coping with challenges and understanding myself. Nothing felt “wrong,” but I didn’t fully realize that there was still so much more I could learn and improve. There’s still a lot that I haven’t understood, discovered, and accepted—my strengths and weaknesses, the actions I thought were right, and the emotions I chose to hide. But everything is slowly changing now. Piece by piece, chance by chance, I’ve noticed myself becoming more aware of my vulnerabilities and seeing it as capabilities.

I become patient with myself in times of overwhelming and difficult situations, giving myself a break before I get back to face what’s ahead. When I feel too overwhelmed, I go jogging to clear my thoughts and calm my emotions. I pray to find peace and strength, especially when I feel lost or uncertain. I also treat myself after accomplishing something, even just little like buying myself flowers because I love them. These simple things remind me to appreciate myself and celebrate small wins. I am slowly choosing to learn to acknowledge and prioritize my well-being, like actually changing my bad habits to productive ones.

Through these times, I discovered that growth takes patience and courage. Mistakes are truly not failures but opportunities to learn. I realized the importance of self-reflection, discipline, and a positive mindset in shaping who I am becoming. My future is still uncertain, however, as I move forward, I choose to continue improving myself in ways that I can—stepping into the future with determination and confidence to pursue my dreams. Indeed, my journey doesn’t end here; I still have a long way to go but with better and wiser mindset.

───────────────୨ৎ───────────────

Pagaura, Lalaine Mae A.

11 ABM-3A

Soc Sci 3: Ms. Carolino

Hi everyone! 👋
Welcome to my Padlet about My Personal Development Journey. This space is where I’ll share my experiences, thoughts, and realizations about who I am and how I’m growing as a person.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned that personal development isn’t just about reaching goals — it’s about understanding myself better, learning from challenges, and continuously improving in all aspects of life: emotionally, mentally, socially, and even spiritually.

I’m excited to reflect on my strengths and weaknesses, set new goals, and celebrate every small progress I make. 🌱

Here’s to becoming the best version of myself! 💖✨ SELF - AWARENESS 🌱 - I’ve learned that self-awareness is the first step toward personal growth. Knowing my emotions, values, and motivations helps me make better choices. I’ve discovered that I am most productive when I’m calm and organized, but I also tend to overthink things. Understanding this helps me manage stress better and focus on what truly matters. STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES 🌱 -- One of my biggest strengths is my determination — I don’t easily give up when challenges come my way. I also consider myself a good listener, which helps me connect with others. However, I sometimes struggle with self-doubt and fear of failure. I’m learning to turn these weaknesses into opportunities for growth by trusting myself more and staying positive. 💫 LIFE GOALS 🌱 -- My goal in life is to achieve success not only in my career but also in my personal well-being.

Lessons, challenges, and growth moments have all been part of my personal development journey. I honestly struggled with self-belief and frequently doubted my ability to succeed. I had moments during mental and emotional problems, but I came to see that these experiences made me stronger and more educated. I learned that progress requires patience, hard work, and the will to keep pushing through challenges.

It took me time to recognize my strengths and my weaknesses as I kept learning more about myself. I discovered how important it is to maintain my focus, practice time management, and never give up on achieving my goals. Each challenge turned into an opportunity to gain fresh knowledge about life and my goals. I also came to the realization that when I make the decision to better myself and maintain my positive outlook.

I can now say that I've made into a more confident and responsible person. Even though I'm still learning, I face every obstacle with hope and determination. I've learned from my journey that improving oneself every day is more important for personal growth than being perfect. I'm overwhelmed with my progress and motivated to continue developing into the greatest version of myself.

Traya, Lemon Dyle N. 11 ABM 3A

SOC SCI 3 Ms. Carolino

My Personal Development Journey (≧▽≦)

During this school year in Grade 11, I encountered the subject "Personal Development" for the first time, and I was truly amazed. This subject helped me know myself better—my strengths, weaknesses, and emotions. I learned to love myself more and to express my thoughts and feelings with honesty. Before, I only wrote in my journal sometimes, but now I write more often, especially when I face problems or blessings.

Throughout this journey, I realized that growth does not always come from success—it often comes from challenges and moments of uncertainty. I learned to trust myself more, to stay patient even when things don’t go as planned, and to see mistakes as stepping stones instead of failures. I became more disciplined, more aware of my strengths and weaknesses, and more willing to step outside my comfort zone.

One of the biggest changes in me is how I now approach learning and responsibility. I used to think that doing my best meant working non-stop, but I’ve learned that balance, rest, and reflection are just as important. I’ve also learned to value progress over perfection and to appreciate how far I’ve come rather than only focusing on how far I have to go.

As for what’s next, I want to continue improving myself—not just academically, but personally. I plan to keep learning, exploring new experiences, and building better habits that align with my goals. I know that growth is a continuous process, and I’m ready to keep moving forward with the lessons I’ve learned and the confidence I’ve gained.

- Nicole Kate Libres 11 ABM 3A

🩰🦢🍥🤍🐇☁️

Through this experience, I came to understand that genuine growth isn't always a product of immediate success; it frequently arises from navigating challenges and moments of deep uncertainty. This path taught me to rely on my own judgment more and to cultivate a deep patience even when circumstances veered off course. Crucially, I began reframing mistakes not as terminal failures, but as essential stepping stones for future development. Consequently, I became more disciplined, gained a more nuanced awareness of my own capabilities and shortcomings, and developed a greater willingness to step outside the boundaries of what felt safe and familiar.

Personal development proved to be such an eye opener, fundamentally shifting my perspective. This realization wasn't merely intellectual, it brought with it a profound emotional release. It felt like shedding an old skin, replacing anxiety and self-doubt with a surprising sense of excitement and genuine self-acceptance. This awakening was accompanied by learning how to effectively cope with and manage the complex landscape of my emotions, developing an inner resilience to process difficult feelings, like frustration or disappointment, without being overwhelmed. This allowed me to maintain a productive and centered perspective regardless of external turmoil, giving me a solid emotional foundation I never knew I lacked.

What's next for me is to continue riding this fantastic wave of self-improvement. I feel a genuine sense of joy and excitement as I look ahead, knowing the best is yet to come. This isn't about fixing flaws, it's about eagerly building a stronger, happier, and more capable me. I plan to dive deeper into those areas where I've seen the most growth, whether that's mastering a new skill, strengthening my relationships, or simply dedicating more time to my well-being.

Justin Jake D.

My Personal Development Journey

Personal development is a lifelong journey that shapes who we are and who we strive to become. Looking back on my own journey, I realize that growth is not just about achieving goals, but about learning from experiences, understanding myself, and becoming more responsible and compassionate.

Over the years, I have learned the importance of emotional growth. There were times when I reacted impulsively to situations, letting my emotions guide my actions. Through reflection and practice, I have learned to pause, think, and respond thoughtfully. This has not only helped me handle challenges more effectively but also strengthened my relationships with others.

Responsibility has also been a key part of my personal development. I have learned to take ownership of my actions, admit my mistakes, and make efforts to improve. By doing so, I have become more reliable and dependable in both my personal and academic life.

Setting goals and staying disciplined has been another important lesson. I have realized that success is not just about talent, but about consistent effort, perseverance, and the willingness to learn from setbacks. Each achievement, no matter how small, has boosted my confidence and motivated me to aim higher.

Finally, personal development has taught me empathy and understanding. By considering others’ perspectives and practicing kindness, I have grown not only as an individual but also as a member of my community.

In conclusion, my personal development journey is ongoing.

As I look back on my past, I've realized that I've changed alot. I've become more mature not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. Many of my friends have noticed the transformation, often remarking that I'm not the Nichole they once knew, and they're proud of the person I've become. I've also acknowledged the changes within myself, particularly in overcoming my former shyness. I'm proud of the progress I've made, and it's a great feeling to see myself grow.

I've learned valuable lessons in life, including the importance of independence. I've come to understand that at the end of the day, it's just me, and I've learned to rely on myself. Emotional maturity has also been a significant aspect of my growth. I've developed techniques to control my emotions instead of letting them control me. I've learned to suppress my anger, sadness, and excitement when necessary, and it's been incredibly empowering. This growth hasn't happened overnight; it's been a journey of self-discovery and improvement.

My spiritual journey has also undergone a significant transformation. I used to attend church every Sunday without truly being present, but I realized that going to church wasn't enough. I needed to cultivate my faith and develop a personal relationship with God. I've since made changes to my habits, reading the Bible twice a week and praying daily. It's been a game-changer, and I feel more at peace and happy, even in the face of challenges. I'm excited to continue growing and improving, knowing that there's always room for more. I'm proud of the progress I've made, and I'm looking forward to becoming an even better version of myself.

OPADA, ELIZZA NICHOLE

11 ABM 3A

MS.

Starting senior high school has been a big change for me, and one of the most eye-opening things I've experienced is the subject Personal Development. It's more than just a subject, it taught me how to take care of myself not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally. Over the past few months with this subject, I've noticed changes in myself that I really didn't expect to happen. I've become more confident in sharing my thoughts and feeling to others, and I also learned to face challenges with patience and positivity instead of fear. I also noticed that back then I usually avoid very difficult task because I worry of making mistakes, but now I try to learn from these tasks and see them as chances to grow. Every experience, whether it is good or bad, has helped me understand myself a little better.

Along the way, I've also discovered things about myself I didn't know before. For example, I've started journaling again, writing poems, and being active in front of the class, which has made me more creative and confident. I'm also more organized now since I've been managing my time well, setting realistic goals to myself, and staying disciplined. Another thing I learned from all of this is how the people around me matter so much. I've become better in listening, being patient, showing empathy, and communicating more openly to others. These changes help me make my relationships to others stronger. But beyond all of that, I've come to realize that personal growth isn't just about having achievements, it's about knowing yourself and your strengths, and accepting your own weaknesses and learning from it.

Looking ahead, I want to keep challenging myself to do more and step out of my comfort zone. I want to try a lot of new things even if I'm unsure of it. I want to have a lot of good habits that will help me become the best version of myself and to others. Personal Development didn't stop just because the first semester has ended. It's a continuous journey, one where the destination isn't clearly in sight yet, and I know there will always be more to learn, more challenges to face, and more growth to achieve along the way. Honestly, I'm excited to see where this journey will take me next and how I'll continue to discover new things about myself along the way, and Personal Development will always be apart of this journey of mine.

Name: Reponte, Meiryanne Hyezza O.

Grade/Strand/Section: 11 ABM 3A

Date: October 23, 2025

Subject: Soc Sci 3

Instructor: Ms. Carolino

Score:

This year of school has made me grow so much as a person. I knew how to use my time better, stay calm, and not give up when things got tough. Before, I would get mad real easy when I had lots of things to do but now I try to do them one at a time. I also was more sure of myself because I saw what I could do when I really stayed on my path.

I also did better at telling my true feelings and taking care of my mind. I saw rest was a must and I could not be perfect all the time. Talking to my friends and trusting in God kept my eyes on the prize. I started to see that mistakes are part of learning and that they really help me grow.

Next for me is to keep on to be better and stay on my chores, be nice, and keep on my big dreams. I know there are going to be hard times ahead but I am ready to face them with an even better mind and bigger heart. I hope to keep on growing not just in school but as a person who helps others to do well.

Dela Cruz, Aeon N.

11 ABM - 3A

Looking at my collage, I can clearly see how much I have grown throughout the years. I used to be more shy and quiet, unsure of myself and afraid to make mistakes. But as time passed, I started to gain more confidence and learned how to express who I really am. Every experience whether in school, with friends, or in my personal life taught me something valuable about patience, responsibility, and believing in my own potential.

Through this journey, I discovered that change takes time and effort. I learned that personal growth is not just about physical appearance, but about developing a better mindset and attitude. Challenges became opportunities for learning, and failures became lessons that pushed me to do better. I started to appreciate small victories, trust the process, and focus on becoming a stronger and more positive version of myself each day.

As I continue my journey, I want to keep improving and learning from every experience that comes my way.

‎I’ve realized that personal growth isn’t only about improving skills or becoming stronger on the outside it’s also about emotional and mental development. At first, I believed that growing up meant excelling in sports, earning high grades, or feeling confident around people. But through facing various challenges, I’ve come to understand that true growth begins within. It’s about knowing myself better, recognizing my weaknesses, and learning how to turn them into strengths. Every obstacle I’ve encountered has taught me patience, humility, and perseverance, even in tough times.

‎

‎Throughout this journey, I’ve also discovered that making mistakes and feeling lost are natural parts of growth. These moments have shown me that progress often happens quietly, during self-reflection and honest thinking. I’ve learned to manage my emotions more effectively, remain calm when things don’t go as planned, and view failures as opportunities to improve. I now understand that genuine maturity involves being responsible, compassionate, and emotionally aware not only toward others but also toward myself.

‎

‎As I move forward, I aim to continue growing each day not to impress others, but to become the best version of myself. I want to strengthen my confidence, build deeper connections, and stay dedicated to my goals. Above all, I strive to live a balanced life nurturing my mind, heart, and character. Though I know the road ahead won’t always be easy, I’m prepared to face every challenge with courage, trusting that each experience will make me wiser, stronger, and more grounded.

Ezekiel Zike B.

Throughout my journey in the Personal Development subject, I have learned more about who I am and what I want to become. This subject helped me reflect on my strengths, weaknesses, and values. Through learning, I became more self-aware and now been able to control my emotions, I learned to pause and reflect through my actions, emotions and decisions. I also learned to communicate better these days. This subject helps me recognize my strengths and accept my weaknesses as areas for growth.

And in my collage, I placed the picture of an ocean because it symbolizes calmness, freedom and most importantly peace reminding us that even when things look calm on the surface, there can be powerful forces within.

What’s next for me is that I will continue building the best version of myself. I often stayed quiet even when I wanted to share my thoughts because I feared being judged or misunderstood. Over time, I realized that my shyness was stopping me from connecting with others and showing my true potential.

To improve, I started taking small steps to build confidence making eye contact, greeting classmates, and joining group discussions. I also pushed myself to participate more in class activities and speak during presentations. At first, it was uncomfortable, but the more I practiced, the easier it became. I discovered that people actually appreciated my ideas, which encouraged me to open up more.

Now, I feel more confident and comfortable expressing myself.

Troughout this journey, It made me realized that I am not the same person as before. I used to bottle up my emotions, not wanting to share my problems with anyone because I don't want to be a burden to them. But now, I'm slowly expressing myself to my close friends. I have also observed that I have become more patient, empathetic, and sympathetic. I attempt to put myself in others' shoes and knowing that everybody is battling their own war. I've become more careful about my words, and actions. I became sensitive as well, since I've realized that we do not know everybody's struggles. So rather than being negative, I do my best to spread kindness to everyone. This subject helps me become a better person, It makes me grow, and learned to appreciate myself more.

Apart from studies, this topic taught me so much things in life. I've discovered that knowing myself is a key in knowing the world around me. I've learned that my emotions are not my enemies—they're an indicator that guides me recognized myself. it helps me know what I need, what I value, and what I have to work on. I also learned how to set boundaries and take care of myself. I used to believe that I should put others first, since I can handle myself. But I've understood now that taking care of myself enables me to show up better to others. This topic taught me how to handle my stress, life improvement strategies, and time management. Above all, I realized that one grows with time. It's not an over-night thing—it's small, day-to-day effort to be a good person every day.

I'm excited to implement what I've learned in this subject in real life. I wish to implement what I've learned so that I could assist other people and make them feel heard. I wish to be a safe haven for everyone, I wish to inspire others to accept themselves, to remind them that vulnerability is an aspect of humanity. And now, as I step forward, I have within me a greater sense of who I am and who I wish to be.

MACAPAGONG, SHANE NICOLE, C.

11 ABM-3A

SOC SCI 3 MS.

I’ve changed a lot over time, especially in how I handle stress.

This collage is a reflection of the person I was, the person I am, and the person I’m still becoming. Each image holds a story — a quiet memory of growth, mistakes, and realizations that shaped who I am today.

I’ve learned that change doesn’t always happen in loud moments. Sometimes, it’s in the small, silent choices — waking up to try again, forgiving myself for my failures, and learning to accept the things I can’t control. There were times I felt lost, unsure of where I was heading, but those moments taught me strength, patience, and resilience.

I realized that growth isn’t about becoming someone new; it’s about discovering the real version of yourself hidden beneath fear and doubt. Every challenge, every heartbreak, every late-night reflection — they all pushed me closer to understanding my worth.

Now, I move forward with more clarity and purpose. I want to continue improving not just for others, but for myself — to stay kind, focused, and grounded even when life gets heavy. My journey doesn’t end here; this is just one chapter in a story still being written.

-Kent Louise Montalvo

Before I encountered the subject "Social Science 3: Personal Development", my mental state was at its all time worst. The summer really destroyed my self esteem because I lost a lot of friends, missing my ex mu and not being able to go out a lot just because of the fact that I had nothing in me to go out for. I didn't find a purpose to go out. But then school started and I was nervous, really really nervous. I didn't know what to do I didn't know how to socialize I didn't know anything about UC because I didn't have a friend to go to at the time.

As the days progressed and suddenly I felt more comfortable going to school now that I had gained some friends in the room. This is where social science 3 really came to play. It made me really think about the things that I should really take into account. The subject itself taught me how to be more self aware, how to properly take care of myself, what I should do to take care of myself and how I should be myself around the people I love

It took me a while to actually be stable, I finally got comfortable not playing a character that I had portrayed because I felt scared to show off myself. My raw personal self. I suddenly wanted to go to school now because I didn't feel like anything would ruin my new perspective of life. I became so confident that I can finally say the things that I want to say to my friends, and they laugh at the random things I say and it really does bring comfort into me. I felt free. For the first time in 5-6 years I can say I feel free. I face life as if it's a good day to live because back at the days at I was living at my worst, life felt like a curse to live on.

And so, I thank Ms. Carolino, my Social Science 3 teacher, for helping me learn and understand how to be myself, how to take care of myself, and how to become better, both for me and for the people around me. Life is now a gift to me, and I will forever cherish it with my new perspective on it.

Alan Ninio C.

“Nobody said it was easy”

Before Grade 11 started, I was hesitant on whether to continue on transferring or just stay at my old school. For the past months, I have been feeling down a lot and it feels like everyone does not like me anymore or it feels like a heavy stone that’s slowing me down. I was in the point of my life where I started thinking to reset and restart—meeting new friends, new environments, new teachers. When my friend asked me where I would study for senior high, I said “Wa’ko kahibaw oy ug moskuyla paba ko kapoy naman, mura’g tanan effort nako di makita,” then she told me that she will transfer to another school, because she also feels the same. When I asked her where, she said in the city, specifically UC. I was skeptical at first since I only thought about leaving my old school and doesn’t care about anything anymore as long as I get to leave.

When the school year started, I realized that I was afraid—afraid of meeting new friends, new challenges, and new people, because I realized that I was reliant on my old friends and that I was scared to replace them. But one person made me overcome it—my first senior high day friend, Sabrina.

When the second day came, I noticed the two girls sitting at the back laughing and talking together. I turned to see who it was—then I saw it was Pagaura and Reponte. I still remember the time that I told Pagaura she’s so pretty and that Reponte was funny. I even asked her if she knew someone I knew, and she just said no. It was one of the most unexpected events during my first week.

When the subject orientation happened, I was excited to meet new teachers and to know what subjects we would be having. When I heard that the subject Soc Sci 3 was about Personal Development, I was happy because for me it means HGP—it talks about knowing yourself more. Throughout the first semester of this subject, I learned more about mental stability and how to handle myself better. Even though this was not the first semester that I expected, God twisted everything and turned it into something better.

I was selected as a vice mayor, and I did not expect that since I didn’t really want to be an officer anymore because of my history. The day I was elected was one of the best things that happened to me, because it showed that a lot of people trusted me, even though they don’t really know me. Learning and socializing are both important to me, and I’m glad to meet new friends who helped me get through my first year. At first, I thought they only saw me as someone who doesn’t like people or someone who’s “bida-bida.” Honestly, I was really jealous of the girls at the back when our seating arrangement was changed. They would laugh together and it looked like they were all close. I asked myself, “nganong walay ganahan moduol nako?” Even though there’s Estioca, Allego, and Gabrillo who really talk to me in my row, it’s still really different when you’re with people you feel you can share lots of stories with. I told myself that it was okay, since it was a part of my goal, but deep inside it made me feel lonely and sad. Because, back in my old school, I always had friends around me and I always got greetings from different grade levels. Then I told myself, “maybe mao najud ni” but no.

During our first activity in Soc Sci 3, I was so happy because they didn’t write anything negative in my notebook. I was with Cainglet that time, and I asked her what the process of sharing was and she said “ambot lang.” That first encounter was really funny because we were close in chats, but we rarely talked in person.

One day, it finally came. The girls at the back, Vitualla, Tibooc, Ubod, Encabo, Santosidad, Reponte, asked us—Sabrina—if we wanted to join them for lunch. I was so happy because finally, someone approached us. Then it slowly grew bigger as time passed by. I remember when I asked Ondiano and Chiong to design my words of the day, and it became the start of something memorable.

As the time ticks, I realized that I am no longer afraid to meet new people. I learned to approach others like our mayor, Traya, and our representative, Libres. I even joined the ASSETS organization, even if I was the only one from my class who pursued to join the organization no matter how afraid I was of being in a group where I don't know anyone. I learned that accepting new things and enjoying new beginnings makes me feel like I am really living the life of a Grade 11 student—pressured, but balanced, especially when I surround myself with the right people.

What changed in me is that I am no longer the person who lets fear control my decisions. I am growing—emotionally, socially, and mentally. I learned that it’s okay to feel lost sometimes, because that’s how you find what’s meant for you. I learned that I can still be loved, appreciated, and valued even in a new environment.

What’s next for me? I will continue discovering who I am. I want to become more confident, more involved, and more open to new challenges. I want to build more memories with the people I have now, and I want to keep improving myself not just in school but in life. My 1ST SEM in Grade 11 journey taught me that change is not something to fear—it’s something to embrace. And now, I’m excited for what’s ahead of me.

From the first day down to the fourth month, I’m so happy that I got to experience new things like sponty samgyup with Rubi, Ondiano, and Nuñez, and create new memories like forgetting to print trackers and rubrics for a group performance task in Science along all the group leaders that caused as a deduction in points. I enjoyed my first semester in UC, because I chose to be with the right people and opened new doors to welcome them in my life. I’m looking forward to more celebrations, achievements, and adventure along with my new circle of friends and to what God is preparing for me.

This may be the last performance task in this subject, but I will never forget how our PerDev teacher encouraged us to be a good person and to be a person who knows how to ask help if we can’t hold the baggage anymore. Thank you, Miss Carolino for reminding us to be gentle with ourselves and to always look for tomorrow.

-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈
”We get to choose who we let into our weird little worlds”-Robin Williams, Goodwill Hunting (1997)

⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪ ˖

Dalit, Reon Leslie Ann 11-ABM 3A

SOC SCI 3 MS.

First of all, as this is our last performance task and our last meeting, I want to thank Ms. Marefil Carolino for guiding us with patience, kindness, and dedication. You didn’t just teach us lessons from the book — you taught us about life, growth, and self-discovery. Because of this subject, I’ve learned more about who I am and who I want to be.

When I was a kid, I was always outside playing games and having fun. I loved spending time with my friends, exploring, and living freely. But honestly, I was also the kind of kid who often got into fights. I was short-tempered and sometimes stubborn. Looking back, I realize that those moments taught me something important — that fighting doesn’t make me strong. What makes me strong is learning to control my emotions, to stay calm, and to choose peace over anger.

The reason I became like that was because I didn’t have proper guidance from my parents due to family problems. I often felt lonely and slept alone at night. There came a time when our house didn’t feel like home anymore, so I started spending most of my time outside — having fun, exploring, and making friends. But outside, I also discovered my passion and what I’m capable of doing. I started loving singing and playing basketball, and I was chosen as one of the players to represent our school in the District Meet Athletics Competition at the age of nine. Being a school representative made me proud and taught me how to handle pressure, show sportsmanship, and play with discipline and heart.

As I grew older, I met different kinds of people — some who guided me, and some who became bad influences. I made mistakes, but those experiences taught me to choose the right friends and focus on what truly matters.

Through school and sports, I learned teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Participating in activities helped me gain confidence and realize my worth. My faith in God also became my strength, reminding me through Jeremiah 29:11 that He has a plan for my life.

Now, I’ve grown from a kid who used to fight into someone who fights for his dreams. I’m thankful for every challenge because it made me stronger and wiser. Thank you, Ms. Marefil Carolino, for being part of my growth and for inspiring me to become the best version of myself.
