Although it is challenging to preserve the historic buildings due to expensive costs, this essay will argue that we should preserve these architectures because of the historical value of the buildings for the next generations.

The historical value of old buildings is significant not only for our generation but for the next generation which is our sons and daughters. It reminds us about the sacrifice of our ancestor or about a war that happen many years ago. Qiao Guohua (citation), China Great Wall guard as a normal Chinese citizen once said: "Every stretch of this wall was built with the blood and sweat of the working people." If these buildings are not preserved, our children will forget their ancestor. All the folk and the historical stories will be gone. One Vietnamese soldier (citation) said: "Our country will be in danger if our history be forgotten." That is why all the historical buildings should be reserve.

Although it is often claimed that preserving heritage buildings provides several advantages in terms of consolidating culture, teaching history to emerging generations, and stimulating tourism, this essay will argue that demands for heritage preservation contain several negatives aspects in terms of wasting money on renovation work, priority should be given to basic services and infrastructure, and most tourists are interested in entertainment matters rather than heritage places.

Renovating buildings is ineffective. For example, when money is spent on renovations, other aspects that are more important to the citizen may be neglected, such as basic facilities and health services. In addition, the hoped-for economic returns may be disappointing, as most tourists tend towards entertainment rather than heritage places.

The beginning of Great Wall of China was established in Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.) or earlier. The purpose of construction was to messaging and defending against foreign invasion. The Great Wall became a significant historic heritage, plays an important symbolic role in Chinese culture. As time goes by, the Great Wall is facing the serious problem of collapsing and disappearing based on a lack of recognition and preservation. This essay will argue that historic buildings must be preserved and maintained carefully, which will have a positive impact on the education of the next generation. Eventually, there is no better example than the history of the failures and heartaches that nations have experienced over the years.

Historical buildings are witnesses of time and contain a country's and local culture. With the rapid development of cities, whether historical buildings should be preserved has become a hotly debated topic. This essay will argue that historical buildings should be preserved in terms of architectural art style, historical influence and economic benefits.

Historic buildings represent the architectural skills and aesthetics of a certain era. According toXXX（2023），the Sydney Opera House is a magnificent building of the 20th century, a unique building built on the sea. Both the structure and appearance reflect the architectural style of that era. At the same time, the Sydney Opera House has also become a symbol of Sydney. Therefore， historic buildings require a lot of time and money to maintain. Historical buildings are like spiritual symbols of the city, adding a unique cultural atmosphere to the city. These buildings are both the past and the future of the city, inspiring person imagination about urban development.

This essay aims to argue that heritage buildings should be preserved due to the sense of place that can help the new generation connect with their history.

Keeping historic buildings also means protecting the cultural history of each country or place. Thus, it allows people to receive a sense of place and connection to their past which leads to the important details of who they are, where they come from, and understand how their ancestors or societies behaved before. From this point of view, the next generation will be able to identify and learn from their history and then transform to be a better version of themself as a citizen and person. As a result, each country should preserve its heritage building for the next generation to study and connect with its rich history.

Although it is often claimed that new buildings represent for national development, this essay will argue that preserving old architecture has a positive impact in terms of historical value, economic benefits and environmental sustainability.

Old buildings which were considered as witness to historical process should be protected and fixed to save traditional historical value. The national long- term period of history needs to pass on tradition from generation to generation not only by speech but also by physical evidence. According to Qiao Guohua (2016), the Great Wall was embodied for fascinating Chinese history which was built by blood and sweat of working people. It cannot be denied the importance of old buildings for young generation which encourage them to embrace their cultural heritage and expose deeper inside into their culture. That is why preserving historical buildings plays indispensable role in national development.
