Although it is challenging to preserve the historic buildings due to expensive costs, this essay will argue that we should preserve these architectures because of the historical value of the buildings for the next generations.

The historical value of old buildings is significant not only for our generation but for the next generation which is our sons and daughters. It reminds us about the sacrifice of our ancestor or about a war that happen many years ago. Qiao Guohua (citation), China Great Wall guard as a normal Chinese citizen once said: "Every stretch of this wall was built with the blood and sweat of the working people." If these buildings are not preserved, our children will forget their ancestor. All the folk and the historical stories will be gone. One Vietnamese soldier (citation) said: "Our country will be in danger if our history be forgotten." That is why all the historical buildings should be reserve.
