How to respond when you experience hurtful behaviour or unkind words?

It is quite difficult at first but if you have in mind how Jesus Christ would respond to it, then it would be easier to deal with it.

I felt hurt, but instead of confronting her I chose to pray and fast for many days, even years. Through prayer, I found peace and healing. I never addressed the hurtful comments directly with that member; instead, I chose to pray for her.

Rather than confronting their intense feelings head-on, I will choose to remain silent if I am to go through something similar. In this manner, it keeps them from lashing throughout our time together and enables them to settle down. Because, like the modest saints, they would much rather settle the dispute in a far more sincere and composed way than take it back on them.

I remember one of my experience na may isang member who tell hurtful words about me syempre nung nakarating sya sakin sobrang nasaktan and naoffend ako at that time and I wanted to leave the church so bad because of Her, pero sinabi ko sa sarili ko na I will not leave the church just because of what she says, I will stay in the church no matter what. I always remind myself every-time I heard a hurtful words na I will stay in the church, I will trust in Him and I go to church not because of them but because of Jesus and Heavenly Father.

For me it is difficult because I'm not that good in confronting them but what I do is pray for them and have a time to approach them I share with them about the problem but also I'm not easily getting angry with them I'm not that a guy that easily got tempered and learn to love others just like they said let's learn to love one another

I remember one time during my mission, a leader of the church told me a hurtful words and actually hindi naman talaga siya totally masakit pero I responded calmly and only think of Jesus Christ. While thinking of Jesus Christ at that moment I realized the things He Atone for our sins. He suffered pains and afflictions without murmuring and complains.

Instead of reacting negatively or impulsively, I choose to regulate my own emotions first. I seek God in prayer and ask Him for increased patience and for my heart to be filled with charity instead of "anger" or "resentment."

If we have experienced hurtful feelings and unkind words, as member of our he church we must respond positively. It’s not easy but I know its the right thing to do. It’s right not to fight back or respond negatively. Be calm to let go of anger or negative feelings and show empathy. We can’t control others behavior towards us but we can control on how we react or respond. Remember of who we are and lets hope that our kindness will allow them to match with us.

I will feel sorry for the one who hurt me bec he or she doesnt know me

Thus I will pray for him not going to confront him.Because he is sad I am happy.Will ignore that person and just understand maybe he is going through a hard phase in his life.

Back in College days — with my classmates and friends in college na they want me to drink alcohol but I refused to do so. I remembered they would say " Sige Isa lang, lahhh hala wala to" something like that. And after, I felt like I'm not included anymore. Siguro by example ko, standing what I belief helped me that night. And next time around they invited me — I declined it, then sasabihin nila - will buy you nalang a soft drinks or yakult. I earned respect from them and that's because of my Faith to Him.
