<description>With over two decades of experience serving the diocese of Paterson, New Jersey, Father Patrick Ryan is a pastor who has led congregations across the state. Father Patrick Ryan first joined the diocese in 1996 as an associate pastor at St. Patrick&#39;s Church in Chatham before moving to St. Cecilia Church in Rockaway.

While at St. Cecilia Church, Father Patrick Ryan spent four months working closely with survivors of the September 11, 2001 attacks, spending several hours each day helping people in need. These efforts were recognized by New York City&#39;s city council, and received coverage in the Washington Post.

Following this work, Ryan spent eight years as a pastor at Blessed Sacrament Church in Paterson, New Jersey before moving to St. James of The Marches Church in Totowa, where he was a pastor between the years of 2012 and 2019.

Prior to his work in New Jersey, Father Ryan spent almost two decades as a pastor with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York. He enjoys keeping active by walking two miles a day, and by kayaking in Maine during the summers.
