I used the holiday templates provided. I had to remember to press "present" in order for the youtube video to play within the slides. I wanted to insert it into my smartboard lesson but it worked better in a presentation mode.

I used one of the templates, with a couple of modifications. I surveyed my 6th grade classes and several didn't want the music playing, so I just left the scene. It was nice to use a different presentation for the course.

I did the classroom screen for our problem of the day with a few wigits- clock, when to think quietly, talk with a partner, etc, as well as random name generator to call students to the board to write out the steps.

My STEM students created a prompt as a class and this is the image it produced. This could be a great tool to use for an assignment! We were just using it for fun today to introduce the tool.

Prompt: "One day a chicken woke up in a Santa hat. He went outside the coop and found a sleigh. He started to pull the sleigh, then he started flying. He delivered presents all across town!"

My students found this activity entertaining and actually challenging as they were to insert Spanish words into the song.

All these day of reinforcing what an adjective is versus a noun and a verb... WOW, it was so nice to hear them discuss... "but we need an adjective here"

It was a really nice activity.

Cannot wait until they can see it tomorrow as it took all day to get it working.

My students and I used a Christmas themed mad lib generator to create our own rendition of The "Twelve Days of Christmas". I added the mad lib to Suno and it generated an AI "Twelve Days of Christmas" Pop version remix for us. It was so much fun! We laughed and danced while reviewing what nouns, verbs, and adjectives are.

I thought I had a better picture of the choice board in the video but saw I did not. Students liked the choices. Most liked the statue activity which I changed slightly since I did not have playdough. I changed it to make and cut a statue of a cold animal to glue on a snowy scence they created. The other main choice was to listen to the Snowy Day and write about their favorite part. Loved these choices!

I posted this assignment on my Canvas pages for students who finish early. I modified the assignment directions so that it doesn't have to be an unplugged activity (because every student doesn't have scissors and I don't either). They have the option to create their hexagons in Google Slides and use text boxes to add their words. After selecting their words, they can use their Slides to explain how and why the different terms connect before working with a classmate. No submissions yet!

I tried this with all my students and some were challenged with making the connections. Some were easily finding a theme and then able to help others. The students liked sharing thier ideas and seeing the different connections.

My students did this on thier own through Canvas and I forgot to video. As they were running up to me saying I did it I got escaped I realized I forgot. So we re-did it whole group and I videoed the end. It was a cute activity I need more time to prep one that I make I on my own.

I displayed the Google form on the Promethean Board. My students and I picked between the two answers. We picked the answer that got the most votes. Everyone loved the activity and was happy to see the gingerbread man escape.
