What a great onslaught of information! I only recognized about 10% of the online platforms the book introduced. I appreciate how they give actionable advice on how to incorporate these tools in your classroom. In my digital photography class (which is based in a computer lab) I can see my students becoming more engaged by using both their smart phones and their computers to engage in discussion. Also, I am excited to introduce aspects like a mind map and YouTube 360* to spark students thoughts. The mind map will be great for planning out projects while YouTube 360* and similar platforms will help me teach the history of photography.

I explored almost every app listed in the book and was impressed in so many ways with this text. I was looking for apps just like those mentioned in the book last semester. But I was simply unable to find them. So much information exists on the internet but it is sometimes hard to sort through it all. The authors of this book have done an incredible job putting so much valuable information together in 1 package. They also provide practical experience on implementation. Really thoughtful ideas and should save teachers time and from making mistakes. Great book.

This chapter had a great amount of information about the different ways I can incorporate tech into my classroom. Even with the increased amount of technology being used in classrooms, Kindergarten does not see a lot. In my classroom I have 15 iPads and 25 students. I also have families who do not want me using technology. This chapter has showed me ways that I can use technology that I think will work with the amount I currently have while also satisfying parents. One app I liked was Plickers. Plickers does not have students directly using technology. I think this would be a great app to use to show families how the use of technology will benefit their students. ChatterPix is also another app that sounds great for my students. I am excited to use some of these apps to integrate more technology into my classroom as well as show parents that benefits of their use.

I really like the set-up of this book and the way it's making technology accessible. I've personally been concerned about a lot of the issues that they're bringing up and I really like how they're addressing them with each tool. Tech is really diverse and there's no one-size-fits-all rule. I've had a lot of Professional Development give a laundry list of what you can use without really talking about its pros, cons, and how it can be used. I also like how they addressed tailoring tech to the lesson, not the other way around. It was definitively a lot of information in the I-1 chapter, but it was useful and there are a lot of things I want to try. Using google slides as a cooperative learning tool and the VR experiences are things I'd love to try.

Tech has been something I have been struggling to incorporate in my classroom. I appreciate what I have read so far about different apps and am trying to explore which ones would best benefit my student population. This book gives great examples and detail for the usage of these apps. To me, this makes picking and choosing apps so much easier, as they give a reasonable amount of insight as to how each is implemented. So far, loving this book!
