The first time I read that Steve was in court, it reminded me about a show that talked about kids (juveniles) who committed crimes. The show talks mostly about their lives in jail. It reminded me of Monster because both of the stories talked about their it lives in prison

Steve a young boy who is on trial for murder. When he was in jail, he wrote a journal to get his mind of the fact that he is accused of robbing a store and killing the owner of the store. The journal became a movie called (Monster) witch is what Sandra Petrocelli, the prosecutor, calls him. Everyone in the court room thinks that Steve is guilty even O’Brien who is the défense attorney, she doesn’t believe in Steve and what he says. O’Brien considers Steve lucky if he spends his life in prison, that means that he’s not in for death penalty. During the robbery 5 cortons of cigarettes were stolen and we know that Zinzi got 2 of them from a guy that got them from a guy who is involved in the robbery. Zinzi uses this information to get out of jail. We also know that Osvaldo was part of the crime. He said he participated in the robbery because he was scared of everybody else doing it but he didn’t say that he was scared of fighting a member of the Diablos to get in the gang.
