The projects will be showcased during the symposium and judged by teachers and subject experts. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries. Juniors and seniors will be judged separately.

The overall winning project in the senior category will represent the European Schools at the European Union Contest for Young Scientists later in the year.

Students from S1 to S4 will work in teams to :

• program a LEGO robot and carry out technical tasks,

• develop an innovative project based on the theme,

• give an oral presentation on their approach, their commitment and the solutions they propose (in French).

You will be able to develop your oral skills, your self-confidence, and take part in a real adventure!

You have to participate in your L2 (french or english).

The themes of your texts can include:

Human rights, justice, society, economics, education, mental health, the environment, unity in Europe, etc.

Through this program, you will have the chance to volunteer with various organisations in Luxembourg that address important community needs. Whether it’s helping those in need, supporting cultural initiatives or protecting the environment, your efforts will contribute to building a stronger and more inclusive society.

The conference will take place from Thursday, February 5th, to Friday, February 6th, 2025, in EEII (social event on Thursday evening).

The total cost per student is approximately 30 euros (the full price will be provided shortly). This sum includes registration for the conference and the cost of lunch for both days.

We are entitled to put forward five candidates. Eligible pupils must be born in 2008.

Pupils who are interested in taking part should speak to their L1 teacher and indicate the languages they wish to translate from and into. The L1 teachers will then forward their selection to the school for the final decision on which pupils will represent our school. The final list must be submitted no later than 17 November 2025.

All registered pupils must be available for the competition, which will take place at school on 27 November 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

from s5 to s7 of the European Schools network. This educational experience started

in 1984 at the European School of Munich, where its name was coined.

The roles and programme mimic the actual European Council and Councils of

Ministers as much as possible, although some adjustments have been made for

pedagogical or practical reasons. Before the conference, pupils prepare for their roles

in groups, and they are also guided by one or two teachers from their school.

The project involves all S1 classes and their dedicated teachers.
