In this sector, many types of metals are extracted from below the Earth's surface. This process may include the use of drills and many workers who use the drill or mining equipment. The raw metal ore they find is sent to the surface for refinement so it can actually be used.

In this sector, the raw metal is melted and refined. Once it is the correct mixture of metals, it is pressed into a sheet of the refined metal. After this, coin sized discs of the metal get punched out of the sheet of metal. They may be pressed again to create the details on the coin. The coins are now ready to be distributed for use around the world, or wherever that coin's currency is used.
