Example:

This compares that the girl was compared to the swan because she was graceful and swans are very graceful animals

Metaphor - The Exam was a piece of cake .

This compares the exam to a piece of cake which shows that the exam was easy .

Personification - The wind whispered through the trees .

This shows that the wind was soft and it moved through the trees calmly .

Imagery - As soon as the chili touched my tongue, I jumped up and down it felt like that someone lit a fire in my mouth.

This shows that the chili was very hot , causing a painful reaction .

Rhyme - spark , mark

These both rhyme at the ending letters

Rhythm - let’s take away the dark , and find your mark

This shows that rhyme sometimes finds the rhythm of the poem
