Everyone is selfish in beginning of the film. The siblings refuse to share the little they have which includes TV time, snacks, and even responsibilities. The father is selfish because he doesn’t want work anymore while the mother isn’t selfish all. Once Troy is away from her family while in the south with her aunt Song, she realized how much she truly misses her family and how she can't stand her aunt Song.
