It is important to be open minded people because we can learn many things by listening to others.

When we communicate, many people interrupt before someone finishes talking, and say him or her opinions on that. However, being open-minded means listening without judging immediately.

Open-mindedness helps to eliminate the prejudice and learn many things from other people.

First reason why it will help us because open minded is person who can speak with anyone.If I have open minded skill, we can speak a lot who ever is.

Second reason is people who has open minded skill can able to open up to anyone.This make an good friend ship easily.

Because of these 2 reasons, I thought open minded will help me with people.

It would also help myself adapt to new contexts and develop as a person. By understanding and respecting the ideas from other people rather than rejecting it because it's not the same as myself, I could consider ideas with understanding and questions (curiosity).

In conclusion, being open-minded helps making relationships stronger. It helps myself build stronger connections with people and grow as a person by embracing new perspectives.

For example, people who do not like "changes" are closed-mindedness. Closed-mindedness leads people having a thinking, that what they have now is the best, and do not want to change it. So, it leads to people not liking "changes", and stick to what they have now.

Another example is the acceleration of echo chamber effect. Closed-mindedness will make people not understand they are in echo chamber, and will leads to blocking the chance to expose to other perspective.

Like these examples, closed-mindedness is not trying to think open-minded, and only rely on the perspective the person have, which is based on the knowledge, maybe the bias the person have. So, like there is "Open-minded" in the IB learner profile, we need to be open-minded to expose and understand different perspectives, as a global student.

For example, when I'm solving a problem that is related to history (Especially IB), I must think of something unique to get a better score. By having a flexible mind, I could get some more unique ideas from my brain that other people don't think of.
