I was not very enthusiastic about keeping relationships back when I was in high school. This could be because I was just simply too concentrated in my study and did not have much time for conversations outside classroom. Case in point, I spend the majority of my time either at home or in classes only for studying and preparing for tests. Now that I think of it, I regret I hadn't enjoyed my youth a bit more.

I really can't stand the sight of students who had much potential but wasted it by not putting enough effort in their work. I guess this is probably because it is my job to push students to reach the best of their ability. Seeing that they could perform significantly better during class but they didn't, I just can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Both at me and my student. For instance, I had a student who was supposed to be very great with Reading Comprehension. However, he just did not focus during class and he never did any homework for the entire course.
