Animal Abuse- how it makes me feel.  

I think that the way people treat animals is horrific. Can you image being in the same situation as the animals who feel trapped and freighted.

I also think that animal testing should be banned all round the world because it is disgusting to be using animals for our own selfish stakes. In my opinion animals should be treated with respect and kindness. people should be more aware about animal cruelty to animals.

whale Hunting-  how it makes me feel

I think that whale hunting should not be allowed because if you hunt animals the whale population will die and there will be no whales left because of poachers.


Poaching Elephants- how it makes me feel 

I think that elephants being poached is horrific, cruel because elephants are being slaughtered for their tucks. I also think that people should be taught how to be kinder to animals.

I have created mark making, print making, 2D 3D sculpture and time based study throughout my course. I really enjoyed creating a pastel drawing in Georgia O Keefe style and in my own style. The reason why I enjoyed working in Georgia O Keefe style because she has a flora style of art in a unique and interesting way that I enjoy. I would like to investagate new artists and styles of creating art to broaden my knowledge. I wanted to carry on with Salvador dallies style of art so then i can improve my painting skills. and imagination. For my final major project I have choose to investigate into animal abuse.

Section 2: Project Concept
(approx. 250 words)
I want to study for the following weeks the subject of the impact of humanity on animals. The reason why I want to study the theme of animal cruelty is because their is a lot of media coverage of the subject of cruelty but I cannot see an end to it, and I want to show people the consequences and how the impact on animals and humanity.

 want to annotate my work throughout and use this to write full evaluation at the end of the project.

I will research using primary research in the form of interviews and discussion i will create secondary research from artist and also using books and magazines. i will interview people and ask organisations such as petra for information i will reference this using harvard and upload this to one note.

    The reason why I chose different colours of shades blue is because I thought the colours would blend together and will give a blurred abstract effect to the eye.

    I added shape and form to my art to put into a personal way how sadness would look through my eyes.

    I carefully, delicately shaped an air balloon , eye, cross- broken heart, balloon. The reason why I shaped an eye in my art because to me the eye represents feeling like you are drowning in sadness.

    The cross represents hope for a  escape sadness and how to over come the emotion of sadness.

    What I would improve?

    I think that next time I would add more depth.     The reason why I chose the different shades of purple and pink is because the purple is like the darkness of fear. The pink represents the feeling of doing something in life that is stopping you and that you have lost the confidence to carry on because the fear is holding you in their arms. 

    The dove represents freedom from life that is stressful. The zig zags represents taking steps to get rid of the fear. The spicks reminds me to carry on even though it can be tricky in life. 

    What I would do differently?

    I would blend the colours together better because the colours look very blurry. I would also try to add more of an abstract effect next time.

    The leaves reminds me of the start of spring of new life in nature for plants and animals. The vines reminds me of an cottage in the country side of corn wall and Scotland. 

    The blue and the green reminds me of the ocean on holiday with the sense of peacefulness. 

    What I would do differently to make my work better?

    Peach is the colour of betrayal of people who always let you down in life. Light blue is the colour of feeling hurt because of people.

    The light mint colour is the feeling of not opening up because you are scared to be alone. The colour of pink is wondering if there is any hope of feelings like you fit in with everyone in this world. 

    The pitch black is the feeling of feeling numb and can’t have the feeling of wanting to socialise again.

    The colour purple means that I feel frustrated that I can’t explain how it feels in words to have anxiety and how it effects  me in different ways like you may seem that something small is easy like a task of work but it is the constant fear of getting everything wrong. 

    The colour blue means feeling unwanted by people and  thinking bad about the way you looks.

    The pitch blackness is like In a dark room where you can’t escape from the anxiety that holds you captive. 

    What would I do differently next time?

    They mainly campaigned against xenotrasprantation that is transplant involving animals and humans.  They protest against animal testing by various companies like procter  and gamble.

    This animal rights group is based in the UK. They also have activities in US and Europe. The organisation was founded in 2015.

    They use the social media to spread their message across the globe. They also press releases so that their voice can be heard.

    They talk about human justice and raise awareness through education, advocacty and media, protest.

           Cruelty free international
    They protest against the use of dogs, cats, and other animals in research. This organisation was found more than 100 years ago.

    The Humane Society of the united states
    Profit margin of illegal wildlife trade is very high. Many countries still do not have a strong judicial systems to protect the rights of animals.

    Saul bass stepped up the sophistication of movie posters.

    They were seen as so unimportant that they would be projected onto a closed curtains.

    I think that he is a very knowledgeable person to know how to create a piece of art- graphic design  through shapes.

    The reason why I cut the animals into pieces is to represent Saul Bass work which I find interesting. Also Saul Bass work is cut into different sharped edges which I interpreted into my own art with his style mixed in my own art.

    I think it also looks like pieces of a jigsaw which makes people drawn into the piece of art I have created.

    What I found difficult?

    I found difficult was trying to cut the pieces out with perfect cut edges.     I like how the cat stands out in the pitch dark of the background making it look bold and eye catching, mysterious.

    I also think that the writing makes people think why does the cat have anxiety and what happened to the cat to feel the anxiety. It feels like a mystery to people making them feel drawn into the bold, abstract photo with a unknown story to be told.

    It also adds an interesting depth to the cat making the cat and the writing shine through with a message in the story of my piece of art that I have made as an artist which makes me feel proud as a person to create a abstract, unique piece of art.

    I think that the story behind the cat is a different way of making a difference on the way people think about a animal who would be in horrific state of mind.

    I like how the rat looks like it is holding up the letters to represent how the rat is feeling. 

    Also it adds depth to the piece of art I have created which I think it makes it look like it is broken into a thousand pieces like a jigsaw to represent the pain the rat has been through.

    Rats are always been disliked because of the way they look and the way they have been in our history with every one thinking they are full of diseases but still to this day some people think this way.

    My art makes you change the way your mind thinks about a rat and makes you feel bad about the pain they have gone through.

    I like how the rabbit looks like it has been broken into pieces reflecting the way it has been treated but the animal is trying to communicate through emotions which makes it interesting to people to think why, how the rabbit feels in their mind or through their expression of body language.


    The writing looks like it is hovering in the air making it look bold but also making it look like as if it is shouting at you to feel sympathetic towards the rabbit.

    As a whole my art looks realistic, abstract and 3D which makes me feel proud to produce my art as interesting and unique to the eye.

    I like how the fox is split into different shapes making you think how, why the fox has fear in its eyes. Is it the trauma of feeling hurt from people which makes the fox feel fearful. 

    The writing looks slightly slanted a bit to make it look as if it is falling off the page which makes you feel interested for the way it looks in a distance and up close where you can see how the way the person has caught and abstract effect to the eye.

    The fox looks very mysterious because of the writing saying fearful which makes people feel as if the fox has been abused by people and how they fear to trust people because of the experience the have had.

    Which is upsetting to know that many fox's are fearful of people because they don’t want to be hurt again which makes you feel sympathetic towards the fox.
