Situated Learning

3 important ideas from the video are:
Situated learning is a part of learning with unintentionally which involve apprenticeship, constructivism and problem solving where it is involved continuous learning. Then learning can be improved by motivating the learners and providing a rich context and application of knowledge rather than memorizing text. The advantages of situated learning are fully engaging participants and give meaning to knowledge being acquired while developing and maintaining long-term organizational memory.

Example at workplace:
A new staff comes and join the company which he is not really own the current organizational culture. As time goes by, he or she will adapt the organizational culture by their superior intervention where he or she learn through observation, imitation and modelling. For example, currently the working time is 9.00am to 5.00pm. However, current practice of all staff is they come early before 8.30am and punctually go back home at 5.00pm. therefore, indirectly, the new staff who just entering the workplace will follow the current organizational culture.
