Culture shock experienced by the speaker's wife who came from Brazil and went on vacation to Australia.  Many things were experienced and unusual for his wife while in Australia.  This made him experience culture shock.  Among others are:
1. Couch are incredibly cheap second hand in Australia.  New sofas in Australia are very expensive.  But when he was in Brazil, new and second hand sofas were sold at high prices.
  2. Cuts of meat in Australia is different from they're in Brazil.  While in Australia they have to ask to have the meat cut according to their needs.  Because the average cut of meat in Australia is sold whole.
  3. Toilet paper in Australia can flush down to the toilet, which is very environmentally friendly toilet paper.
  4. Coffee culture in Australia.  There's more than caffee in Australia, and it tastes really good
  5. BBQ at camping ground at the beach.  While on the beach Australians usually do BBQ.  Stores monitored also provide BBQ and tools for BBQ so you don't have to bother bringing your own tools.
  6. Items that are not used will be displayed in front of the home page and can be taken by anyone who needs it for free.  This is commonly done by Australians, sometimes along the way we can find it.  
7. Drinking water from the tap, water in the water system in Australia is made drinkable.  It can be used for cooking, and washing as well.  This shocks speakers who are not used to doing that in Brazil.
  8. Leaving things unlock, this shocks the speakers because many Australians rarely lock their homes when traveling, this is because crime is rare in the environment.
  9. Walking street at night.  Walking at night in Australia is perfectly safe, even in the quiet of midnight.
  10. The number of cigarette butts thrown in any place.  Surely this is an unpleasant behavior found in Australia.

Living in another country makes us meet many new habits that are rarely found in our country.  one is in Australia.  speakers from Brazil who visited Australia found new things. Not only speakers, I also found many different new cultures from both Australia and Brazil.  The new thing that became a culture shock for me was that the unused furniture would be displayed in the yard and could be taken by other people for free.  which it does not exist in Indonesia and Brazil.  this culture is quite beneficial for ourselves and others.

In my opinion, many different cultures make an area has its own unique thing.  not infrequently we encounter culture that can be beneficial and also detrimental.  One of the disadvantages encountered in Australia is there's many of cigarette butts that are thrown on the streets even though there are trash cans around them.  it's possible it happened in some places in Australia, but still it's not worth seeing.  I hope the people there can improve their hygiene behavior.

Eric and Grace Coleman who are also known as the wandering Raven, they travel and live all around the world.  And are also copywriters.  They even have a YouTube channel with great videos about traveling.  They started out in South Korea in February of 2017. They moved there and lived in South Korea for two years where they're worked in elementary school as English teachers and then after two years they're moved back to the States.

 On the podcast they tell about their lives while living in Korea.  They also told some difficult things or culture shock they encountered while there.  First, in Seoul, South Korea, there are a lot of subway transportation users.  Not infrequently they are seen pushing to enter the train carriage.  This made Eric and Grace a little surprised because they had never seen so many people taking the subway to the point of having to push around in the USA.  Second,
 It's they have a different standard of what politeness and rudeness is.  For example, which is when they first moved to Korea.  They were really confused by the custom of passing things with two hands.  When people hand things from one person to another person, they always do it with two hands. The first hand will be holding the item and the second hand is under that first hand.
Supporting it, and that really confused them at first.  Because if you don't do that, then it's rude.  If you have something to someone.  The origin is basically way back in the day in Korea, people were these clothes called Hanbok that had super long sleeves.  And so, when you handed things to someone, you kind of had to lift up the sleeve with one hand, when you're handling it, in order to keep the sleeve from getting in the way.  And nowadays, you know, the sleeves have gone, but people keep that same tradition of holding one hand under the other and so learning.

 Eric and Grace also provide tips for listeners to deal with things that create culture shock.  The tip is to go to an event or local festival in the country.  While Eric and Grace were living in England they visited a local festival.  There they met and became acquainted with many people.  Then they visit who lives there to meet them for a week.  They will chat a lot with the local people there. This helps them to overcome the culture shock and helps them that they are not alone.  One of their favorite things is meeting and getting to know people.

In my opinion, I really admire the culture that is in Korea. They still maintain the culture by using two hands to give something to others.  It is very nice and polite to give and receive goods with two hands.

While listening to the podcast, I continued to repeat the broadcast because Speakers talked too fast and many words I didn't understand. That way I will look for the meaning of the word and keep listening to it.
