  • classic literature possesses qualities that popular fiction does not. the study of literature is demanding of the reader that we must adhere to.

  • books that act as windows; stories that offer readers access to other worlds, other times and other cultures. The example of how young readers do connect with Odysseus because of his journey to self discovery is what stuck out to me most.

  • i wouldnt understand the show Gilmore Girls without reading the classics
