He only gives him the kisses that he got from the lady. This goes against his deal that he made with the lord and serves dishonor onto his name. He is supposed to want death before he is ever dishonor which here he dose not. </div>]]></description>

Since Arthur is the king and above Gawain, he is compelled to show him honor which in this instance he does.&nbsp;Also, he asks the king's permission before showing that he honors his king's command over him and would do nothing without his permission. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

They are obedient because they respect his station as a knight. He does not force them to do anything but instead they do it out of respect for him. </div>]]></description>

To the younger lady Gawain gives her a hug and she gives him a kiss he is being polite throughout the interaction. To the older woman, he still shows her some courtesy in the form of a bow but nothing after that. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

He faces them bravely and never turns back because he is scared. This is one of the true tests of his manhood and his knightliness. One that he passes with flying colors. </div>]]></description>

He has just come from his journey and has fought many creatures on the way. There is no doubt that the people of the castle have heard of him and are giving him the recognition that he deserves for his glorious acts. </div>]]></description>

(2290-2295)<br><br>Gawain is showing a lot of courage here because he doesn't even flinch even when he is inches from death. This is a true test of bravery because he is about to get his head chopped off and yet he still does not care and takes it. This is also showing that he is fearless even in the face of death.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

(2509-2510).<br><br>Gawain fails to show pride for what he accomplished in his quest to find the green knight. Even the whole court and the green knight thinks that he should be prideful. Yet Gawain still doubts himself for his one mistake of stealing he girdle. He has fought off monsters and showed honor and courage in the encounter with the green knight but refuses to believe that he should have any pride. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Overall I would say that Gawain has lived up to many of these values and codes. Even though he does fail some like honesty and having pride. To live up to all of these codes is impossible and to have done the things that he has like facing death without a flinch. Overall, he has successfully live up to this code the best that he or any one could of.  Even the other knights of the round table wouldn't even go on this quest which already put Gawain ahead of them. </div>]]></description>
