This battle occurred not too long after the Revolutionary War. It occurred June 17, 1775 in Boston, more specifically Charlestown. The main point of battle was focused on two main hills. These hills were named Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. The American Military was forced to play defense in this battle because the British decided to overtake these two hills. This resulted in a British win but a heavy hit on their army as well as the American army.

As we know the British went to take the hills to better attack the American military. The Americans found out about their plan to do this so they needed to act quick overnight to be more specific. What the military decided to do was essentially beat the British to the hills. American troops went overnight and built forts and different other structures about 6ft in the air to make sure it could defend against the British. You could say that the Americans didn't prepare very well because they ran out of ammo before the battle was over. After the two main attacks by the British America couldn't handle anymore. The Americans eventually were forced to retreat.

Just like the Americans finding out about Britains plans the same happened to the Americans. Britain now knowing about the forts that the Americans built on the hills the night before, planned a new way to attack the Americans. The British led three main attacks on the Americans which worked very well for them this was led by William Howe. These attacks worked great especially the third one which forced the Americans to retreat and leading to a British victory. So overall the British military planned and strategized better than the Americans.

They had the benefit of being up on the hill. The firearms led to many casualties of the British and which made the troops more confident and to try harder.

British had much nicer, well organized uniforms. They were loaded with bayonets and muskets. They had many more soldiers than the Americans. Their battle formations were organized and tactics were thought of thoroughly. The well thought out battle plan, better funded military and the many more soldiers provided a advantage of being more prepared than the Americans

The American strategy was to be up on the top of the hill which gave them a great advantage over the British. Americans shot faster than the British which caused them to retreat. Creating more casualties helped them fight harder and gave them the confidence boost for future battles.

Britains strategy was to have "perfect" battle formations. These formations had the militia carrying lightweight firearms in the front and heavier firearms in the back. This gave the British the advantage of being more prepared which led them to winning.
