Introduction to MOOC: The MOOC “Learning to Innovate” aims to implement project-based learning in classrooms and promoting STE(a)M education through project-based learning. The course includes five modules;

What is STEM Education?

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
BLENDED LEARNING

What separates STEM from the traditional science and math education is the blended learning environment and showing students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real world applications of problem solving.

How can we transform our classrooms to take students out of passive learning and boring environments in the classroom? The answer is project-based learning (PBL). Learning through PBL projects students better and easily overcome the material and learned remains permanently and applicable in everyday life.

For me it's very interesting that:

PBL provides a framework of instructional strategies and content practices which can be applied and used within STEM or any content area of choice. As teachers shift their classrooms and instructional practices toward a project-based approach, they will more naturally be able to utilize complex, interdisciplinary STEM projects as the focus of these experiences.

Project learning differs from the traditional. Besides, project and project based learning also has some differences. The picture below sumerizes the differences.

Question 1:
What are the 21st-century skills? Do you think these are just about computer and technology?

In my opinion 21st century skills is just not based on computer and technology.Perhaps each 21st Century skill is broken into one of three categories:

Learning skills (the four C’s) teaches students about the mental processes required to adapt and improve upon a modern work environment.

Literacy skills (IMT) focuses on how students can discern facts, publishing outlets, and the technology behind them. There’s a strong focus on determining trustworthy sources and factual information to separate it from the misinformation that floods the Internet.

Life skills (FLIPS) take a look at intangible elements of a student’s everyday life. These intangibles focus on both personal and professional qualities.

Technology and digital tools helps to enhance students and teacher to implement the Four C's in the teaching and learning process.

Question 3 :
Write at-least three skills other than the 4 C's, which you think are crucial to teach today's students in order to prepare them for college and workplace.

Other than 4 C's i think

Flexibility: Deviating from plans as needed
Leadership: Motivating a team to accomplish a goal
Initiative: Starting projects, strategies, and plans on one’s own
Productivity: Maintaining efficiency in an age of distractions
Social skills: Meeting and networking with others for mutual benefit

would be crucial to teach today's students in order to prepare them for college and workplace.
