Multicultural Literature- Being able to use authors from across the world with different perspectives, use various real world scenarios while comparing curriculum to help students stay engaged, and have students share their point of view as well.

Collaborative Small Group Work- Students will group up with a few others for a small group setting, while sharing their favorite art, community, and storytelling.

Curriculum Integration- IEP's have measurable goals for students. The individualized goal will include a visual that represents a students cultural background.

Community Engagement- Customize field trips that allow students to learn about one another from different backgrounds.

Acknowledge Cultural Backgrounds- Bringing in different cultural backgrounds into our examples, references and materials.

Include Differentiated Instruction- Tailor curriculum based on reading levels, interest, and cultural backgrounds by including many visuals, real life examples, and the students perspective.

Practicing Inclusion- Value diversity out loud to the class, having books of different cultures, and community connections that show many cultures and different perspectives.

Being Involved in the Community- Advocate for cultural family nights outside of school hours that is acceptable for parents, teachers, and students to get to know one another.

Diverse Classroom Decoration- Using bulletin boards that include all nationalities of race, culture, and ethnicities.

Having Language Labels- When labeling items within the classroom, use all languages that are appropriate for your students.

Inclusive Language- Using gender neutral terms, using language that respects all students, and encourage no judgement.

Celebrate Cultural Events- Bringing in Holidays from different cultures that will have the students excited to share their lifestyle with the class. The student would bring in an item that represents them in their cultural environment.

Storytelling Groups- In an out of school event, create a gathering that allows parents, students and teachers to talk about their personal history.

Cultural Festivals- Create an evening full of cultural diverse foods, art, and music in a downtown environment where different communities are able to attend.

Parent Workshop- Allowing parents and students from other cultures to learn about the American culture to ensure the students are introduced to the American lifestyle as well.

Involving Parents Within The Curriculum- Having parents tell the teachers what activities, languages, and traditions would get their specific student feeling included.
