In Mongolia they shaved sheep and they did not let any of the blood from the animals go to waste so they were really wise about using the resources that they had. While Denise and Francis were there they said that they had seen everything that Marco said would be there. Something that was different in between them two traveling was that Marco was able to get to things that he had wanted to do right away. But for the Americans they weren't allowed to see what they had wanted to see like with the will of rights they didn't allow them to see it nor touch it which was really upsetting for them. One of the things that they both had in common during there trip through Persia was that they both traveled through the silk road. Something that was different was that Denise and Francis needed a visa to be able to leave and travel. Something that they had both had in common was that during there voyage Marco and the guys both had trouble with getting across safely so they had both had someone in a higher rank that them help them get through to make sure that they get across safely. Something that was different was that while Marco was on his way in Afghanistan he had ended up loosing some of his men. One thing that they had both had in common while being there was that they both sailed by a cargo ship. But something that was different was that it was harder for the Americans to get a cargo ship so they could be on there way there. But they ended up doing and interview that was live and company's decided to help them out. One thing that was not the same during the trip for Denis and Francis than how it was for Marco Polo was that they had seen all the army guys in Iran and they found them as a threat but they later on had noticed that Denis and Francis were there to do no harm just to retrace Marco Polo's voyage.
