For this unit, you will choose a Broadway show to design the costumes for. This show can be any show that is past or present.

Start to think outside of the box. Don't create a mold of what has already been created. What other color palette choices can you use for the characters? What other types of clothes would be just as effective for the character?

This project will be completed in phases:

Phase 1: The Design. You will present 3 drawings of the costume designs for 3 characters of your chosen show.

Phase 2: The Build. You will create 1 costume from your designs.

Phase 3. The Presentation. You will present your costume creation to the producers (the class) and talk about why you chose the show you did, the costume you did, and the thought process that went into your specific design for that character.

Don't get behind on this project. You will have 3 weeks to complete this assignment.
