Why was the 27th picked as a date?

It's during exam week, so I worry that:

people who hold an exam that day won't want to strike because of how disruptive it would be
people who don't hold exams will strike but it won't have much impact because there are no lectures etc anyway

Wouldn't it be better to choose a day during the lecture period, so that striking would actucally be visible and disruptive, but in a way that more people can get behind?

(It's one thing to cancel a lecture because of a strike, another to cancel an exam)

Make sure not to reduce it to a single one-dimensional issue, it is all connected and therefore make room for connecting the issues (demilitarisation, xenophobia, cutting the humanities, earth sciences, removing student spaces from campus, suppressing anti-genocide organising).

what is already been done and what isn't/who to coordinate with if we want to organise something?

We need to inform and build support in the student community. Potential practical idea:

Preparing visuals and announcements that lecturers can share with students (a PPT slides/poster to share, a short text etc.)

Set up a task-force of people familiar with labour law (from unions or lawyers) to prepare a leaftlet explaining the rights to strike (and the protections) for the employees, so that people can understand better what happens if they strike (or if they break a strike)

The currently discussed date, 27 March, falls on an exam week and it is a higher treshold, especially for the first action, to cancel exams (rather than cancel a class) for the strike
