         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Patrick Henry's Virginia Convention Speech<br>-"Give me liberty, or give me death!"<br>-Patrick Henry's speech is about wanting and deserving freedom from the British. He's trying to convince the convention to go to war. This may be the only way, otherwise they will never earn their freedom. His speech is very brave and courageous, saying that he will do anything to be free. He'll even risk his own life.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Declaration of Independence<br>-"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"<br>-The Declaration of Independence is a document of the colonies officially seperating from the British. They explicitly state their God given rights and how the&nbsp;British has failed to meet these rights time after time. They had had enough, and finally broke free from King George's tyranny. In the text one of the rights is "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness," all of which England did not hold up. This is the colonies saying they will take this right back even if it results to war.</div>]]></description>

King George desperately didn't want to let go of the colonies, so he tried everything he could to stop it. He would send armies over and force colonists to house them even in times of peace. He treated them with oppression even if they were British citizens still. They had enough, especially when he continued to try and convince them he loved them.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Political Society, John Locke<br>-"every one of the members hath quitted this natural power, resigned it up into the hands of the community in all cases"<br>-Political Society by John Locke is about what you have to give up to be in a society. You have to give up the right to punish a person for a bad act as an individual. Instead, you leave that up to the commonwealth or government. He talks about being able to tell whether or not someone is in a society by whether or not they have this right. This is a society's responsibility to handle, and an individual's risk to take.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Paul Revere's Ride, poem<br>-"The people will waken and listen to hear<br>The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed,<br>And the midnight message of Paul Revere."<br>-Paul Revere's Ride is a poem telling the story of Paul Revere himself, who was a patriot that warned a town when the British started to attack. He is a very patriotic, brave, and dependable person. This poem highlights all these characteristics of this american hero. Paul Revere was even a part of the Boston Tea Party. He truly went down in history.</div>]]></description>
