Personally, music plays a big part in how I fell that day. Basically my mood and what I listen to go hand in hand. If I am in a chill mood I tend to listen to the music I have in my "happi dai" playlist on Spotify. Most of the music on there comes from indie bands with pretty mellow tunes.
Also this is my favorite song at the moment. Give it a listen, you won't regret it.

Listening to music on your headphones is great for when you're on the bus or just sitting in your room, but I think it's also important to FEEL music. Nothing is better than watching my favorite bands on stage performing live. You can feel their energy radiate to their fans and it's just and incredible feeling.
This is a picture of when I went to go see The 1975 last year.

I think this GIF is a great representation of one of the reasons why music is important to me. It helps you just tune out what's around you. Whenever I walk to class, I just put on my headphones and enjoy my walk. Music has the ability to make boring everyday activities a little bit better.

Classical music will always have a special place in my heart and in who I am. I have been playing violin since I was 10 and I have always been in love with it ever since.
This piece, The Dargasson by Gustav Holst, is my favorite because it was my audition piece back in high school. I joined orchestra my freshman year and I got put into the symphonic group. (Every freshman does, unless you play like Itzhak Perlman) My director would have auditions at the end of the year for the Varsity group, which was the top group. I practiced this song so much, that I would hear my family whistle it because it was stuck in their heads from hearing it so much. I ended up getting picked to be in the top group, so everytime I hear it, it brings me good memories.

He's from the Czech Republic so I'll probably never see him perform live here, but I completely fangirled when we became friends.

So when I was in the 7th grade, I stumbled upon this little gem right here. It's such an amazing piece. I would honestly listen to it like a million times a day. I ended up finding the score to it online and I decided I was going to learn it. Keep in mind I was in the 7th grade trying to play a piece that was being played by a pro. I struggled, but I felt that this piece gave me the drive to keep trying and to better myself.

Music plays a big part in my life. I listen to it, I can read it, and I can perform it.
I remember being little and having a purple boombox with a microphone. I used to carry it around everywhere and sing all day. I honestly would sing nonstop, I wouldn't even talk.
I started reading music when I was about 8, and I started playing the violin at 10. It gave me such joy being able to create music.
I can listen to literally any genre. I have days where I want to thug it out and listen to rap and hip hop, and I have other where all I want to do is put on my boots and two step it to some good ole George Strait.
If I had to pick one genre, it would be indie folk because it's what I listen to more frequently and it best describes my style.
I am Latina, so I think that plays a big part in why I love music so much because I was exposed to it at such a young age. Even though I mostly speak English, I do listen to music in Spanish.
