Featherless/Desplumado</em></strong> by Juan Felipe Herrera 2004. Grades 1–4.<br><br></div><div><strong>Summary- </strong>A young man, Tomasito, has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair to get around. He just transferred to a new school and is having trouble getting adjusted. As a “pick-me-up”, his father brings a new pet that is featherless to him. The bird is named Desplumado. At first Tomasito does not want anything to do with the bird but once he gets a place on the soccer team he sees there is “more than one way to fly.”<br><br></div><div><strong>2. </strong><strong><em>Moses Goes to a Concert</em></strong> by Isaac Millman 1998. Grades K–3.<br><br><strong>Summary- </strong>Moses takes a field trip to a music concert and finds out along with him and his classmates the percussionist his deaf as well.<br><br></div><div><strong>3. </strong><strong><em>All Kinds of Friends, Even Green!</em></strong> by Ellen B. Senisi&nbsp; 2002. Grades K–3.<br><br></div><div><strong>Summary- </strong>Moses, who is in first grade, is assigned an essay to write. Being by himself, as he has lost his mother, he is faced against the enemy but surprised the enemy is young just like himself and has also experienced loss.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>2.</strong> <strong>My Three Best Friends and Me</strong>, Zulay by Cari Best 2015. Grades 1-up&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>Summary- </strong>Zulay is in first grade with her three best friends. Even though Zulay is blind, she and her friends all enjoy the same things. When field day arrives, Zulay surprises everyone by choosing the activity race. Even though Zulay needed an aide, with the support of her teacher and friends she was successful at finishing the race.<br><br></div><div><strong>3. Ray Charles</strong> by Sharon Bell Mathis Ages 5-10<br><br></div><div><strong>Summary- </strong>A biography of the blind jazz player, Ray Charles, who taught himself how to read and write music through Braille. This book defines Cerebral Palsy.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>3.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</strong><strong><em>How Dyslexic Benny Became a Star: A Story of Hope for Dyslexic Children and Their Parents</em></strong><em> </em>by Joe Griffith. 1998.</div><div><strong>Summary- </strong>Benny, who has dyslexia, struggles while his fifth-grade classmates’ skills improve. He is suddenly terrified when he is called upon by his teacher to read aloud. This book helps explain Dyslexia</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Theoretical physicist. He had many theories and works such as the Hawking radiation. Hawking had what is known as motor neuron disease which slowly which slowly paralyzed him. After losing his speech he communicated through a speech-generating device which was a hand-over switch. </div>]]></description>
