We have identities to be able to communicate effectively and have a working system.

We have an urge to stand out or to fit in. Because of today society and ethics, we need to be "labled" and have a certain method to distinguish people.

 We don’t have personalities if we don’t have identities. We need to have them, to be able to distinguish ourselves from others. To know who we are.
We have them so that we can adapt to different circumstances.
