It points out most of the travels that he did; for example, to the Middle East, Central Asia, the East coast of Africa, Japan, Russia, and so on. Although each one of these destinations is written in distinct books, there are four books in total. These books were co-written by Rustichello da Pisa who was an Italian writer that met Polo while both of them were in prison. He highlighted the differences between European culture and other cultures he came in contact with. Italian is "La divina commedia", original name "La commedia" this was compused in in the early fourteenth century and is mention as one of the world’s great works of literature. This trilogy influenced many of later poets, example: T. S Eliot and Ezra Pound.
