The issue with cyber bullying is that some people don't take it very seriously. People think that just because they are behind a screen makes it okay to say rude things to someone. We all know that our phones are always with us, making it a perfect target to be a victim. The person who is saying the awful things behind the screen have no idea what that person is going through; making cyber bullying a huge issue in the modern world.

Most of cyber bullying happens during the teenagers years of a persons life. Once they are able to have something like a phone or a computer, they have a way of always getting contacted. The attacker wants to say hurtful things to this victim, but wouldn't want to say them in person. This happens probably in most schools or towns, because the attacker knows that everyone will see who the victim is and what people are saying about them. This happens A LOT on social media now a days rather than just a chat room or over text.

There are many ways that organizations have and are helping the problem of cyber bullying. One organizations that helps cyber bullying is STOMP Out Bullying. It is an organization to help prevent cyber bullying. They influence the victims of cyber bullying and help them get to be a better person and know they are worth it. They provide ways of helping people not do things that they would regret and help them know that they are welcome in this world.

Hannah Smith had used the website Ask.fm. It is a website where an anonymous person can ask her a question and she would have to answer the question. People had asked her why she was over weight and about her family problems. Some people had told her to drink bleach and cut herself. She couldn't handle the pressure and horrible comments that were being said to her. On August 3rd, 2013, Hannah Smith had committed suicide at only 14 years old. After her death, her father had found a very sad note kind of explaining why she did this act.

The effects of cyber bullying are different for everyone. It depends on the type of person that the victim is. Some people take it so seriously that if the attack told them to do something bad, the victim would actually do that. Other people may just not think about it and know that it isn't true what they are saying to them. Either way, the bully doesn't know how the victim will take it, no one does. So the bully shouldn't say anything bad to a human being because of not knowing the way that they would take it.

Some solutions to fix cyber bullying is to not be on the internet as much. The attacker will get to the victim easily. If the victim isn't on the internet so much than the attacker can't get through to them. Another way of helping stop the cyber bullying is to tell someone trustful. If the victim told someone they trusted, that person could help them and stop the bully.

Another organization that helps with cyber bullying is the Megan Meier Foundation. It started when Megan had been online with a guy who she befriended. They had talked for sometime but, then he turned on her. Other people had made fun of her and started posting stuff about her. It got to much for her and she had committed suicide. After her death, her parents found out that it the boy she talked to was fake. Her family wanted justice for her. So her mother founded this program. They wanted to promote bullying and what people can do to help prevent it. They want to put happiness into victims lives that have gone through that.
