For items that need to be replaced, due to damage, an appointment is made. Right now all students are keeping their devices 6th 7th and 8th graders - The only exception is for students who are withdrawing. We are still heavily advocating the Tech Work-order form through Google forms and through teacher communication. If a student is unable to complete a form or a parent contacts the teacher, I reach out / or our campus CT reaches out via Google Voice. This allows us to trouble shoot over the phone, communicate in English and Spanish as well as set up appointments for Tuesday Tech days that run from 8:30 to 11:00a. Our educators had enough resources and tools to begin the process.  Later, more resources were provided to them via PD, to further assist them.

Teachers were encouraged to be creative to find engaging ways to give students authentic learning experiences. Grading was changed to a pass/fail 100/69 scale, which was a big factor in a lot of student's participation. It was easy for them to schedule time with me, whether it was to troubleshoot something that wasn't working, to plan something that they were wanting to try, or to train on a specific app 1:1. It was really nice to break up the large-group sessions with 1:1 and get to check in with my teachers with some face time over Zoom. Teachers have really been taking this time to learn and grow - they've been getting badges for learning different apps, learning how to make escape room activities, using Google Slides to turn assignments that they have used before into interactive digital ones, and learning to create lecture videos and how to best embed them for students to interact with them. I am so impressed with how the teachers have taken all this in stride and approached it as a learning opportunity - this campus has grown SO much.
