De jure segregation is a Law which backed up the separation of the races. It was a law, that made it illegal for black and white people to be together at public spaces and so on. White and black people had therefore their own school, their own entrances in public buildings, separate restrooms and drinking fountains.

What was the dispute in the Plessy v. Ferguson trial? And what was the outcome of the trial? 

The dispute was that by law, white and black people couldn’t be together. They had the same rights, but yet still they couldn’t be at some places at the same time. Homer Plessy took this trial to the Supreme Court but they refused to change on the “separate but equal” law.

Jump Jim Crow is a song and a dance from 1828, done in black facepaint "Blackface" by the white comedian Thomas Dartmouth "daddy" Rice. It was inspired by a song and dance made by a physically disabled African slave named Jim Cuff og Jim Crow. 
 The song became a hit and was performed all over the country under the name "Daddy Jim Crow"
 The song was a step towards a new pupular tradition, based on the imitation of Blacks. 
As the "daddy Jim Crow" became famous, Jim Crow became a derogatory word, meaning African American in 1838, and from this spirred the racial law of segregation known as Jim Crow Laws.

NAACP is an organization an it means ”The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.” They have this mission to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination This organization were founded in 1909 in New York. it was both black and white, who fought for equality. Doing 1900 century, the organization grew stronger with the years.

Restaurants:
It is against the law to be dining in the same room as a black person. Whites and blacks shall be separated either by a floor upward, and the distance from the primary dining room, and to the blacks dining room has to be 7 feet or more. 

Intermarriage: 
All marriages between a white person, and a person of black descent, is “forever” prohibited. 

Education: 
There shall by schools for white children, and a separate school for black children. 

Cohabitation (samliv):
If a white person, spends the night with a black person in the same room, they will both get either a fine of 500$, or 12 months in prison.

 The schools with the black people did only get discarded books and lap equipment from white schools. Until 1947 was the Major baseball league segregated in a “Negro league” and a “white league”. 
 
Also in Hollywood they were segregated. In some films there could only be white people, and in other films there could only be black people.  So they were separated, but the equal part was not real.
