The commercial had the entire town gather around while to guys arm wrestled for the last skittle.

Amazon Echo: Alec Baldwin and Dan Marino Brainstorm Commercial (#BaldwinBowl)
1. The product that is being advertised is the Echo which is made my Amazon. It is used for basically anything, you ask Echo a question and she answers, you ask her to shut off your music and she does it, you ask her to play something she does it. People in today's society is using it many different ways.
2. This commercial is used to attack individual's humor and the way they look at the super bowl. For instance, they talk about cheer leaders at his party, also how having snacks for a snack bowl was the best idea ever.
3. The cultural view behind this commercial is based off of caucasians who watch the surer bowl. Never once was their individuals from different races presented in this commercial or even females besides them talking about cheer leaders. Also you would think that this party is for upper class citizens due to the fact they are wearing blazers and the decor of the house.
4. The literacy skill that was used was "skill of understanding" without this skill you might have not understand the commercial.
5.

1.)

This commercial is selling mountain dew’s new drink called “KickStart”. This is a drink that many young people drink all over the country. Mountain dew “KickStart” is an energy drink and people in my generation especially in college like me use energy drinks often when we have to pull all-nighters for class. It also appeals to the younger crowd of children because of the cute little combination of animals that mountain dew used. Using a pug, a monkey, and making it also look like a baby makes everyone that see’s the commercial think about how cute the animal is. Cuteness and laughter caused by this commercial is considered juvenile. This product tells American culture and society that by drinking “KickStart” they can be young too.

2.)
There isn’t a lot of dialogue besides the beginning. Most of what you hear is “puppy, monkey, baby” and it just makes you laugh. It also just shows that the types of people that would want this drink will also find this commercial amusing.

Humor is used by the copywriter. He or she noticed that people in our society remember things that catch their attention. Laughter always makes people remember and pay attention to things.

3.)

This commercial indirectly reflects the generation conflict between 90’s babies and 70’s babies. Many of the babies like myself have an obsession with comedy, and we rarely take small issues seriously. We are considered to be more laid back than our parents of the 70’s. This commercial made me laugh before it made my parents laugh and it just showed me how comedy is more important to my generation than to my parents. This is just one of the issues of generation conflict indirectly reflected by the commercial.

4.)
I used the skill of understanding during my analysis. It helped me know what the product was and also what the “puppy, monkey, and baby” was. Without this skill I would have been clueless watching the commercial and even more clueless on how to analyze it.

5.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KeW1pslXsY

1) The commercial I chose was one of my favorites. It was for Pantene shampoo and it was titled "Strong is Beautiful". It involves well known NFL players with their young daughters doing their hair as a way to spend time with them. It combines something many dads will recognize with the pro football players and hits them with one message to spend more time with their daughters so they can be strong women when they grow up. It encourages dads with young daughters to make the future generation of women stronger.

2)The dad's and daughters are talking throughout the commercial about the dads creating "dad-dos" while doing their daughter's hair. It also included two white screens with plain black text. The first included a fact that girls who spend more quality time with their dads will grow up to be stronger women. The second is almost a call to action and plays to the dad's emotions by stating to put the next generation of strong in their hands. It really played into my own emotions since I am very much a daddy's girl.
The copywriter used humor because of how the dad's and daughters were interacting with each other. Dad's are not the best at doing their daughter's hair because they do not do typically do it on a normal basis. It is always a funny occurrence to watch or be a part of. The copywriter also used association because they had big name NFL players involved in the commercial which will play into the logic of the dads since they will recognize the people in the commercial and may also strive to be like a NFL player.

3) I feel this commercial had a big cultural appeal because in this day and age dad's are working a lot more and have not been spending as much time with their daughters during their formative years. This has been proven in psychology as terrible for a girl's self-esteem. It really played into the culture that I grew up in with divorced parents and my father working a career that required him to travel. So I valued every moment of quality time I got with him. So I fully believe in dads being involved in their daughter's lives and making time for quality time with them. It really does making girls into stronger women. The commercial is almost a call to change the way current culture is going so that women can become more powerful and dads will be more involved in their family lives.

4) I used the media literacy skills of understanding and respecting the power of media messages, the ability to think critically about media messages, and the ability to distinguish emotional from reasoned reactions when responding to content. These skills helped me to relate to the commercial with my personal experiences while analyzing it and uncovering how a father would feel when watching it.

5) "Strong is Beautiful" - Pantene Dad-do
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXPvh8kMFek

1. The product that my commercial represented was a car. The Hyundai like any other vehicle in America, is a coveted thing. Since the invention of the Automobile our society has built a cultural image surrounding cars. The coolest model, fastest, most expensive, and brightest color. The car has and always will play a crucial role in society where many find it defines who they are. The car a person drives can easily sterotype who they are, even if it is not true.

2. The commercial used the new Hyundai to tell a story of a Dad sending his daughter on a first date with a boy. The commercial was funny and used the features of the Hyundai and the Dads overprotective personality to bring the audience in to watch
a cat and mouse situation. The daughter was unaware of anything going on. The language that the commercial used was facts about the car mixed with the emotional banter between the dad and the date. The copy writes used humor mixed with real life situations of dads being over protective of their daughters.

3. I would have to say the commercial represented the idea of parenting a daughter. It displayed how Dads get nervous about their daughters dating and how they will go to any length to protect their daughters. The use of the cars tracking device brought attention to the vehicle indirectly but the focus was on the dad chasing the boy all over town. The truth is that even though the Hyundai was the product being sold it actually did not bring much attention to it but I will never forget the car now because the story line of the commercial sucked me and it was hilarious.

4. I used the literacy skill, " The ability and willingness to make an effort to understand content, to pay attention, and to filter out the noise. The truth is i usually never watch commercials. I have children so usually there is always something crazy going on around me and I use commercial time to multi task. When given this assignment i new i had to focus and watch at least one commercial. I chose. Hyundai, "First Date" because I am a parent and could relate to its content and it was pretty funny. I felt bad for the girl who had no clue of what was going on.

5.

1.) The commercial is advertising the NFL and how the network involves family. The NFL plays a role a role in the American society. There are 32 teams in the NFL almost half of the states within the country have their own NFL team. Every Sunday from September through February people around the country gather with friends and families at homes and businesses to root on their favorite team.

2.) In the commercial they start with a statistic that states that 9 months after the Superbowl winning cities see a rise in birth. The commercial then shows different groups of children, teens, and adults and what Super Bowl is responsible for their birth. They sign a popular song by Seal and change the words and relate it to how they are Super Bowl babies. Emotion is used because they point out that families are made because of the Super Bowl which is humorous.

3.) The commercial represent that the NFL as a network and group is important to the community. I don't believe the commercial really reflects anything else besides that the participating in watching the NFL supposed to be looked at as a family activity.

4.) Media literacy skills that I used to analyze this commercial was the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand content, to pay attention, and to filter out noise. This skill was used because during the commercial I was with other people and they were talking over the commercial so in order to grasp the concept of the commercial I had to filter out the background noise that was being produced.

5.)

1. The product that my commercial was advertising was Pepsi. Pepsi plays a big role in American culture because its been around for so long that everyone knows what Pepsi is let alone has tasted it.
2. The commercial consisted all three different songs that were hits during their time. So that made me want to keep watching because I could sing along with the songs.
3. During the commercial it showed a positive cultural attitude because they for each song the people in the commercial were dressed as if they were back in that time period so it matched the song being played.
4. I was able to use the skill of understanding because even though the commercial was pretty straight forward I had to understand that they were trying to show how long Pepsi has been around by going through dressing up and playing song from three previous generations.
5.

1. I chose the Doritos commercial when a dad is pretending to move Doritos to the ultrasound and the woman ends up having the baby because the baby went towards the chips. It plays a big role in American culture because most of society doesn't care about health facts and will eat anything and Doritos uses humor to accomplish that.
2 The commercial doesn't have any information about the product but its supposed to be funny. It uses humor to sell the products because if they stated facts about then people probably wouldn't buy it because its a very unhealthy product.
3. I believe this commercial had a big cultural appeal to society because everyone was involved with child birth and most of it for people probably wasn't pleasant so they used humor to make it seem funny and so that people will buy it.
4. Using the literacy skill of analyzing I chose between many commercials that I thought would be the most rememberable to society and the most talked about that would end up getting the company or product more profit. Without carefully analyzing I wouldn't of picked a good product.
5."Ultrasound"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ko7GuDOv4BM

Over the past few years Doritos has become culturally more popular due to their commercials.

2. It is a simple commercial but it is funny. The commercial expects you to have an emotional response. It provides you with all the information needed to enjoy the commercial. It enlists humor to attract the audience.

3. The commercial mainly addresses immaturity. It is very short and the only other real topic addressed is the stereotypical couple's panic that happens when the baby starts to be born. This item relates to American culture and society due to the fact that a lot of parents, specifically fathers, are very concerned when their daughter goes out with a new guy due to the fact that no one wants to see their daughter get hurt. In addition, as time goes on, cars keep getting better and better with newer technology. This feature can be very appealing to concerned parents.

2. The language in this commercial definitely generates a response from the audience, especially because some parents have been in very similar situations and it can cause an emotional response from those who can relate. Humor and definitions of "real life" experiences are used by the copywriter to get their point across. Kevin Hart is known for his comedy and adding him into the commercial makes it more appealing to anyone who is familiar with him. In order to get the audience interested in the product, the copywriter uses the "real life" situation of a daughter going out on a first date with a boy and the father becoming overprotective. As it progresses, the humor begins to come out. First, the father is seen in the movies, and then, the father is seen hanging out of a helicopter, all while the daughter is completely oblivious to what is going on.

3. A cultural attitude that is indirectly reflected in the "First Date- Hyundai" is stereotypical thinking. This is shown throughout the commercial due to the fact that this advertisement would not exist if it was about a boy going on a first date. In American culture, it is typically the female's parents who are concerned about her going out on a date. Usually, the boy's parents do not really pay much attention. This is due to the fact that more females are pressured into having sexual relations than males are. In addition, Kevin Hart plays a stereotypical, overprotective father. However, not all fathers are as extreme as Kevin Hart was. His role as a father was a generalization for how fathers of teenage girls act.

4. During my analysis, a media literacy skill I utilized was the skill of "the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand content, to pay attention, and to filter out noise." While watching the Superbowl, it was kind of hard to pay attention to the commercials due to the fact that the people I was with were talking and it was hard to hear above the noise. In order to fully understand the commercial, I had to block out the excess noise and focus on what was being advertised.

5.

1. I chose the commercial called "Super Bowl Babies-NFL." This commercial is advertising the NFL network. The NFL plays a role in american culture because it broadcast game and news footage about "Americas favorite game", football. Sports are what bring american society together almost as much as religion, marriage, or friendship. In todays society, football brings everyone in America together for a unofficial national holiday brought to you by the NFL network.

2. The language used is presented to us in the form of song lyrics. It is tries to generate an emotional response. My initial response to the commercial was "Awwh thats nice" because it was saying the babies were made in light of certain teams winning the super bowl! The techniques used by the copy writer would be humor and togetherness. Humor was one because it was only because of the superbowl that the babies were made. Togetherness was one because it shows how people came together because of the nfl.

3. This commercial had a cultural attitude because it showed the generations singing about football, which has created multiple sub-cultures in the United States. It reflects nothing but the camaraderie that the super bowl brings to it's watchers.

4. I used the media skill of respecting the power of media. This skill was used because those babies were only born based off of a win broadcasted over a medium of television. I also used the skill of "ability to enjoy, understand, and appreciate the content" I did enjoy the content because I thought it was a cool fact.

5.

1. I chose the Doritos Ultrasound commercial to analyze, to American culture these snack food chips are among the most popular exceeding Lays chips. These chips are seen as a high comodetity to snack lovers.

2. The commercial has no information about the chips rather it is suppose to be funny and reaches to tell and connect the audience about the need for Doritos chips starts before birth, which really is suppose to create an emotional response subconsciously telling parents and kids that in a way these chips are essential.

3.This commercial mainly points at consumerism and tries to exploit the fact that even as babies we are being forced to choose or eat foods that are definitely not fit for our age it also shows how we are a society that wants to indulge in food everywhere we go. For example the husband/boyfriend of the women is watching the ultrasound but is also eating a bag of Doritos which is ironic since hospitals don't allow outside food to be eaten inside especially for an ultrasound. Basically the commercial is letting us know that Doritos thinks that their marketing scheme is so strong that once your kid is born they will be a fan of Doritos.

4. The media skill is used is respecting the power of media even though my literary skills are at a good level, I have to respect and realize that this commercial wasn't intended for me to really comprehend but its purpose is for kids and adults out there that may be having a baby, subconsciously they may think that their crying baby may want a small piece of Doritos to calm them down or from watching the commercial they may think that Doritos is a good and safe snack to give too their kids.

5.

1. The item being commercialized was a Hyundai car. The commercial represented two women driving in their new Hyundai car. As they were driving through what seemed like a neighborhood they kept seeing Ryan Reynolds. It was funny they showed him playing football, being a construction worker, and walking dogs. It was very amusing. The language of the commercial was pretty much car facts with a little bit of music. The commercial itself plays a huge role in American culture. Someone is always looking for a new car; it seemed like this commercial was portrayed more towards girls.

2. The language of the commercial was mostly background music while the two women drive around and car facts towards the end. The commercial mostly speaks to women. The commercial is basically saying if you buy this car you will attract more attractive men like Ryan Reynolds. As the women were driving around what seemed like a neighborhood they saw Ryan doing many different activities. The girls at the end of the commercial have become distracted and the car now has a new ability to auto stop. So the point that the director was trying to make while girls get distracted by men the wont be and will be able to stop for pedestrians. Hyundai wants women to buy their new small SUV they are advertising in blue. The director was trying to use humor to try and get costumers to buy their new car. It was funny how Ryan Reynolds turned out to be every male actor the women in the car ran into too.

3. I would have to say the commercial represented the idea of sexism. It was women driving around in the new Hyundai and kept running into Ryan Reynolds. Most women find Ryan attractive. So the commercial is saying that if you buy this car you will run into handsome men like Ryan all the time. The women were also riding around in a neighborhood. So the actor could also be saying that it is a good family car or neighborhood friendly. The song in the background played the song what a man over and over again. They used that song to say how good-looking Ryan Reynolds and the girls were clearly into him every time they saw him doing a different activity. The women were also distracted so the director was trying to make the point that women will get distracted by men and wont be on the lookout for pedestrians. So women should get their new car because it has auto stop that will detect the pedestrians for them and stop the car.

4. The media literacy skilled I used was “the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand the content, to pay attention, and to filter out the noise.” I watched the Super Bowl at someone’s house so everyone was chose to talk loudly during the commercials. I felt as if I was the only one trying to hear what they were saying during the commercials and really focus on them. It was hard to hear but I tried my best to say focus so I could understand the content in the commercials and most of them were pretty entertaining. Once the girls drove the neighborhood they almost run into Ryan Reynolds walking the dogs but if it wasn’t for the Hyundai’s new auto emergency breaking. The director is saying while both girls are in the car distracted by Ryan’s good looks the car isn’t.

5. “Ryan Reynolds 2017 Hyundai Elantra Commercial” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u26AebvkCv0

1. The item being advertised is the Jeep brand of cars. Jeep has become a leader of car brands over the years in America where it has become one of the most popular cars/SUV's nation wide. In this commercial, there was a mix of portraits of average people, celebrities, children, people from all over the world, people who are in the service, etc. With the narration voice over along with the classical music, this commercial talks about the hardships, the fears, the beauty that everyone (including the cars) have seen over the years.
2. This commercial definitely had deeper tone to it compared to other commercials with the deep voice'd narrator, the classical music in the background, and all the faces of the people in the portraits of the video. The creators of this advertisement wanted an emotional response from people trying to relate to them and be an average American. The portraits were mostly in black and white, making the portraits seem more classier in a sense. Also the words the narrator was saying were trying to talk about all the things people have seen over their lives, like hardships, and how they wind up belonging where they should be, with the commercial ending with a picture of the new Jeep model.
3. This commercial is Americanized based on the portraits of the people featured in this video. At first the people featured in the video are men and women who are in/ have served in the forces, seeming dirty, rugged and like they just got off battle grounds. It then goes on to talk about beauty and features pictures of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and it also shows small children with bright eyes all cheery and happy.
4. During this assignment I have utilized the skill of knowledge of the internal language of various media and the ability to understand it's effects, no matter how complex. Every advertisement and other forms of media have their own tone, and they express these tones through production values. Production values can be the right use of lighting and shading, picking the right song for the music in the commercial and picking the right portrait to feature in the new Superbowl 50 commercial for the Jeep brand. The creators of this commercial were probably very picky and specific with the people they chose to feature in this commercial. They wanted to relay their advertisement to a huge mass of people and trying to relate to the general public, the commercial had to be appealing to mostly everyone.
5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKn5K5V7tRo

1.The item being advertised was the car brand of HYundai. The Hyundai brand is a very good and popular car brand. In the commercial two girlfriends are riding around and they are distracted by the men that they encounter that are Ryan Reynolds. Each time they are looking away from the road they always see him, and he is checking them out as well. The song "What A Man" is playing, which really brought the commercial to life. The whole reason for the commercial was to advertise the new Hyundai Electra 2017 and telling what it can do, which included that the car doesn't get distracted and it has a new brake for when pedestrians pass.
2. It basically just provides information about the car at the end, but if you ask me it was advertising the gorgeous Ryan Reynolds and barely the car. It did not get to what the car could do until the end. All it showed throughout the video was the girls driving in a nice car admiring Ryan Reynolds from afar. The emotional response would probably be from the female audience to fantasize about Ryan Reynolds, but that is basically it.
-The commercial provides humor and a bit of sexual innuendo. Why it provides humor is because everywhere the girls looked, there Ryan Reynolds was giving them a bit of his attention. The sexual innuendo was portrayed like some of the activities he was doing. For example when he was drilling in the streets and giving them a seductive glance, that gave you a little hint.
3. I think this commercial had the issue of a stereotype against women. Women are not always checking out a guy and they are not careless when they drive. The commercial made the women looked like they were irresponsible and a bit retarded, because they were obsessing over some guy. That never always happens in real life, sometimes women don't even notice the good looking guy standing in front of them.
4. The skill I remembered while looking at the commercial is the media literacy skill 3, which says, "The ability to distinguish emotional from reasoned reactions when responding to content and act accordingly." Viewers lost themselves in the song that was playing and the guy that was in it, that they really didn't look at what the commercial was about to the very end. I thought it was poor advertisement and the only reason it got attention was because of Ryan Reynolds. In a normal situation a girl would not even look twice at the policeman, the pedestrian, or the men playing football.
5.

1. The item being advertised was Heinz products such as ketchup, mustard, and BBQ sauce. This item plays a big role in american society because condements are needed at cookouts, restaurants, concession stands, parties with food, and get-togethers. Heinz wants you to buy their product for your food.
2. I think the language in this commercial uses mostly ethos for persuasion. It targets the emotion with the cuteness of the dogs in hot-dog suits and the people in ketchup bottle suits. The music in the background also provides humor to the dogs running in slow motion. There were only a couple of words said in the commercial other than the music, so this commercial was mainly focused on the emotional response.
3. The commercial reflects that Heinz products are for anyone at any age, and that it brings people together.
4. The media literacy skills I used were "the ability to distinguish emotional from reasoned", and "the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand content, to pay attention, and to filter out noise". I applied these to help me understand what the commercial was saying and trying to do. I watched the video with sound, and without sound to see different perspectives on it.
5.

1, I choose to write about the skittles commercial with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith in it. It had his self portrait made out of skittles and it could sing. It plays a part in todays society because skittles have been around since the 70's and are one of the most produced candies of this era, and everyone likes some type of skittles.

2. It tries to use more of an emotional approach. It has one of the best known band singers ever being the star, and one of their top hits, Dream On, being the song that was played in the commercial. This appealed more to adults because this song came out in their time. They also made it funny so that everyone could enjoy it. Also the song title "Dream on" goes hand in hand with the commercial, since this could never really happen.

3. It definitely used humor to appeal to everyone. Everyone knows Steven Tyler can hit extremely high notes, and watching him get mad at how ugly it was and then making it sing higher made everyone laugh. Then even when it broke, it continued to sing which continued the humor to the very end. The commercial also reflected on how Steven Tyler used to talk by simply letting him talk that way in the commercial.

4. The media literacy skilled I used was “the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand the content, to pay attention, and to filter out the noise". This was extremely hard a super bowl party. But the commercial caught my attention so well that it was still easy to see what was going on. Also I used "The ability to distinguish emotional from reasoned reactions ". Even tho Aerosmith is my favorite band, and that is one of my favorite songs, I still know that skittles are just skittles. They cant really do anything besides be candy and be eaten.

1. I chose the colgate ad commercial that was meant to adhere to public water waste as well as advertise. Brushing your teeth is one of the essential parts to human health and very mandatory. There are many different kinds of toothpaste, I personally prefer colgate to any other brand which is advertised here. So, not only is this product sanitary to health but also mandatory to it.

2. The whole commercial is silent and the viewer is only able to hear the water running while the man is brushing his teeth. Information is shown on the screen throughout the ad about how much water is wasted during the simple and short act of brushing your teeth. What is shown appeals to both informational and emotional senses because it shows statistics but ones that make the viewer feel a little sad maybe.

3. The commercial is obviously about toothpaste but discreetly about the dehydration and water waste around the world. These are some cultural issues that need to dealt with and this commercial is only going to further that demand and bring the issue even more to light.

4. I thoroughly used "the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand the content, to pay attention, and to filter out the noise" media literacy skill when watching my commercial. While I was scrolling through, watching all the commercials, this one stuck out to me because it had such large meanings behind it. I watched it once and knew I was using that one. It hooked my attention and I understood and followed the whole thing the first time I watched it. As I've explained, the producers were discussing water waste as a result of running water while brushing and just simply asked the viewers to turn the faucet off during. This would make a huge difference and save so much water and we're lucky to have been exposed to this knowledge.

5.

1. I chose the First date- Hyundai commercial that had Kevin Hart in it. The brand new model of the Hyundai Genesis car is being advertised. Kevin Hart played an over protective American dad who let his daughters date take her out in his car.. little the date know that the dad was able to track the car via car finder which is a brand new feature to this model to the car and was the main focus of the commercial. This definitely appeals to parents abroad America because not only can parents track their child's vehicle but even if the owner did not have children this could be a useful feature if the car was stolen.

2. The language used was more directed towards the father knowing where his child was. The commercial didn't exactly explain how owners of this new vehicle being advertised could utilize the car finder feature if they didn't have children, like I explained in question one about the car being stolen. However, it did show a useful way of how the car finder feature could be used.

3. The cultural attitude this commercial had represented the typical American dad. The typical American dad attitude represented would show that a father is always questioning his daughters date and is a little untrusting, as well as over protective.

4. The media literacy skill I chose was "the ability and willingness to make an effort to understand the content, to pay attention, and to filter out the noise".

1. The commercial I chose was the Hyundai commercial with Kevin Hart. The role the commercial plays is the Hyundai Genesis can be tracked and to fathers everywhere this is a good way to keep track of where your daughter goes.
2. The commercial is trying to get the emotion of laughing out of you because they put Kevin Hart in it to try and make you laugh. The language of the commercial is direct to all fathers making it seem like with this car your daughter will be safe because you know where it is. One of the techniques that was used in this commercial was obviously going to be humor because Kevin Hart was in it.
3 The attitude in this commercial is sociological because it about a huge part of our social part of our lives. In the commercial the daughter and the boyfriend went out on dates to different social events.
4. I used the media literacy device understanding because I needed to understand the point Hyundai was trying to get across. The point they were trying to get across was fathers should by there car.
5. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=kevin+hart+commercial&&view=detail&mid=3C9AF96BA09B938502F33C9AF96BA09B938502F3&FORM=VRDGAR
Hyundai Genesis Car "First Date"

1. I chose to analyze the Colgate commercial. In this commercial it shows viewers how much water they truly waste when leaving the faucet running while brushing their teeth. The product is the toothpaste, but it goes further to not only promote the product itself, but the act of saving water and bettering the planet.
2. The commercial uses facts to show users just how much water they waste while the faucet is running. Using the emotional factor, the commercial shows little children in ripped clothes drinking the water that's running with their hands. Therefore it provides information, and generates an emotional response.
3. I think the Colgate commercial uses economical and cultural attitudes. By showing children of different races drinking the water it makes the viewer really think about how much water they do waste and makes them want to change or alter their teeth brushing rituals. Also economy because water is a major resource that we rely on as a society for our health. It relates to basically every viewer because everyone brushes their teeth.
4. I used the media literacy skill of respecting the power of the media. This commercial was extremely powerful and made me really think about my actions. I thought about how wasteful I really am when it comes to water and it made me respect Colgate for putting out such a powerful message through the media.
5.

Puppymonkeybaby.

1.) The Commercial that I found most memorable was Mountains Dew’s Kickstart commercial. Where the worldwide known brand Mountain Dew introduces a lunch of it’s new drink called Kickstart. Don’t think that Mountain Dew plays any part in American culture. It’s a popular drink but if they would stop manufacturing it there would just come another drink to replace it.

2.) The commercial is aimed at consumers in the age between 14-25. It starts of by a guy in his twenties saying to his two mates that he is just going to “chill tonight”. But as soon as a figure known as a “Puppymonkeybaby” arrives and gives the guys a Kickstart everything starts being great and fun. The commercial is supposed to generate some kind of humor and to be memorable. I mean who doesn’t remember a dancing Puppymonkeybaby. The idea about the Puppymonkeybaby is that it is a combination of three great things and so is there new drink, combined of there signature DEW drink, Juice and Caffeine. It also gets people to talk about how stupid the commercial was, spreading the word about the new drink even further.

3.) It is indirectly reflected that staying home chilling, is more boring then to go out.

4.) I used the ability of understanding and respecting the power of media. Without that I wouldn't have understood that the Puppymonkeybaby is suppose to represent three great things.

5.) “Puppy, Monkey, Baby” – Mountain Dew, Kickstart

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql7uY36-LwA
