Each team member individually researched poverty and issues plaguing the region of South and Central America as a whole. Topis like average income, government, education, demographic information, religion and other factors to poverty. Several countries stood out, and after discussion our group decided to focus on the country of Venezuela. We found that Venezuela had a population of 28.7 million, fertility rate of 2.16 and infant mortality rate of 15.54 per 1000 births.
Spanish the most common spoken language.
Causes of Poverty are lack of education, lack of healthcare, government corruption, heavy investing in one industry and few jobs available.

The first step to ideation is the determine which problem is the more urgent one to solve. Our team divided the issues into 3 main categories:
-Lack of Education
-Lack of Jobs
-Poor Healthcare

We decided the most important problem was the lack of sufficient healthcare in Venezuela. The country has almost no hospitals, and the few that they do have are very poor and not maintained well. We formulated a plan to fly in doctors and nurses and establish a hospital in the region. The medical professionals would be on a rotation, and would travel back home when they were off duty. They would help to train people to become doctors and nurses, and one day they hospital would be completely self-sufficient without requiring help from international medical professionals.

We will transport doctors, both Venezuelan and American, via trucks stationed at a town, Cabrera, surrounded by the most populated areas of Venezuela, allowing us to easily access people throughout the country, going to people in need and giving them healthcare. We want to help people get the health care they deserve. They deserve the right to survive and thrive in their country. But, due to conditions in Venezuela such as corruption, environmental disasters, and lack of resources like education and healthcare, the reality is that many Venezuelans are living in poverty and fighting to be healthy. This idea will help people get access to healthcare and spend more time working, engaging in a community, and bettering the lives of themselves and others, no matter the geography.

We have learned a variety of things from working on our prototype. For instance, we were able to understand how working on our problem statement and being patient with the process would allow us to make a succesful prototype. As well as this, we were better equipped at tapping into our creativeness, as we learned from the book that creativity is not just how someone is, but is something that takes practice and effort to attain. Lastly, creating and testing our prototype allowed us to understand what other essentials needed to be added to our prototype. One example of this is our oxygen masks, which we decided was important to add, while in the process of making the prototype.

For example, some car companies donate money for each sale during the holidays, we would reach out and get these companies to raise money for our organization with each vehicle purchase. For vehicles we buy, we would work out a deal for special vehicles fitted to be all-terrain and have storage for equipment. We would also have smaller jeeps that would transfer medical personnel. The size of these vehicles would vary depending on the cost of the vehicles, where they're going, and what they are transporting.
