If data were a superpower I would use it to get rich because money solves problems and I have problems but not money. With a data superpower I could figure out the algorithm of the lottery or predict stocks or hack wall street. And then I would buy a mansion in the mountains where it’s fall 24/7 and have a luxury dog shelter and a giant pool.

Not much data is a lot worse in comparison because of how it can lead to bias and incorrectly portray a community without nuance .

I personally think that having too much data is worse than not having enough data. Having too much data requires a long organization process, where you have to then go through and see what data is actually helpful. Additionally, too much data can make it hard to come to a conclusion, because there are so man factors that have to be taken into account when analyzing the data. If you don't have enough data, this is somewhat better to work with because you can always conduct more experiments to collect more data and work up to the level of data that is best suited for what you are trying to analyze.

Which is worse, too much data or too little data and why?

I think that having too little data is worse than having too much data since having too little data about a certain situation can lead to people not understanding much about the topic, which could lead to ignorance. Ignorance about certain issues can only make those issues worse.

I would say that not having enough data is worse because if you don’t have any data there is not much to research. Even thought going through a lot of data can be time consuming it’s more likely that you will make a discovery and learn more information on the type of data that you have.

I think too much data is worse than not enough because you can always do more research to find more data. Too much data could lead to confusion.

I believe that having not enough data is worse compared to having too much data. Not having enough data can lead to possible inaccuracies to occur when comes to trying to come to a solution or an answer regarding a research. Having a lot of data allows for many possibilities to come out from a research.

I believe that not enough data is worse because if you don’t have enough data for answering an important question, your facts will be partially accurate.

P.S. The challenges of data management can be when certain data ends up getting lost without the chance to retrieve it, which can become a problem for answering a question with enough facts to analyze.

The worst possible outcome when it comes to receiving data is when you doing have enough data to analyze and make results. When you don’t have enough data you can’t get an answer or an outline. When you have too much data, though it may be difficult to find promising absolute solutions, you can find multiple different solutions and apply it to the problem to see which outcome is most beneficial.

harder to find specific data. there will be too much data and most of it will get out of place or lost anyways. it will make monitoring the data more complicated and that issue will only increase.

I think not enough data is worse than too much data because you can always cut data down to an amount that's organizable but you can't add data if you need it since there's no more to look at. I also think this is easier because going out to collect more data would take extra time and effort while you can separate data you want easily. For an example, if you have a large meal that you can't finish, you can eat what you want then put the rest away as left overs. Another reason why I think not enough data is worse is because it can be harmful to spread information on a topic that wasn't researched substantially.
