I Believe that clean water and sanitation is important because everyday 1,000+ children die from illnesses caused by dirty water, and we cant take away malnutrition without taking away some of the waterborne diseases that come with it. As my approach to ending hunger worldwide and unhygienic conditions we need safe water and sanitation.

My Less Developed Country

The less developed country I represent is Kiribati. Population (2014 est.) 104,488 (growth rate: 1.18%); birth rate: 21.85/1000; infant mortality rate: 35.47/1000; life expectancy: 65.47. The island nation of Kiribati is sinking due to both rising sea-levels and its increasing population. About half of the total head-count, some 50,000 people, is already packed into a small sand strip that measures six square miles. But the main problem is that the water is dirty and it shouldn't be used for hygiene. Which is the reason why I believe clean water and sanitation would help worldwide and if this sustainable goal is passed ending hunger and unhygienic conditions isn't far from it.
