As Swing and Jazz were discriminated against, many people loved them, mostly a younger audience. They were referred to as Swingjugend (Swing Youth). SS commanders were so mad about them they were even sent to concentration camps. However, this didn't stop them from playing and singing these Swing songs at the concentration camps.

Many composers decided to leave to places like America, France, and California. A lot of them got into Hollywood0 and Boardway. However, some composers like Schoenberg, Korngold, and Toch, could not go back to their old work, and felt like their work was stained forever.

There were many groups and peoples who found connects through music like Jazz and Swing and even other types of music. It is very beautiful to know that even during these times of hopelessness, that something may give people hope, like music.
