         <description><![CDATA[<div>3 Main Causes:<br>- French Enlightenment<br>- Social/Racial Inequality<br>- Slave Revolt<br><br>Summary:<br>The Haitian Revolution&nbsp; was a slave revolt in the French colony of Saint-Dominique. They revolted because of the French Enlightenment and also because of social/racial inequality. They were under Spanish rule later to be under the French rule. In 1788-1790 the French revolution happen. The slaves see this as a opportunity because the French are week. The shortly revolt in 1791 to get there rights back. They got there independence in 1805.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A lasting effect the Haitian Revolution left was their slave rebellion. In which created a new naton and turned catalysed series of independence movements throughout Latin America. The Haitian state's declaration of independence rejected taking freedom to the colonies and islands of the region by force.   <br>The Haiti ended French plan on the New World, and it led to a racial panic in the United States. This revolution became the first successful slave rebellion in the Americas.</div>]]></description>
