It's intriguing how automatically they all assume it was a "Negro" creeping in the Radley collard patch when it was just a bunch of kids messing around. I also think this represents racial prejudice since the act of creeping around other's property is automatically associated with a black person's antics. The thought of a white person doing something wrong is probably harder to imagine than the thought of a black person doing it.

This represents an act of courage on Miss Maudie's part. She refused to hear such silly gossip and instead chose to come up with a witty remark to Stephanie Crawford's obvious lie. Instead of playing along and indulging in the neighborhood gossip, Maudie did not believe the things people said about Arthur Radley and noted that he had always been a nice boy when he was young. It is a small act of courage, but an act nonetheless.

Why did Boo Radley stab his father in the leg? Did he have a psychotic break or something?

Isn't this racial prejudice? Because Calpurnia is also black but she actually also has a way of discrimitating other "niggas".

Prejudice is shown in the expression “I was being a girl, that girls always imagined things, that’s why other people hated them”. There is also gender prejudice in the book, not only racial.

I wonder how people came to the idea that anything that grows on that tree is poisoned. How old would “Boo” really be if he wasn´t dead? I find it adorable that Uncle Jack Finch always yells over to Miss Maudie on Christmas (43-44) Chapter 6 Why does Dill call Scout “Angel May”? (51) Is the shadow Boo? Was he the one that sent the gun shot? (53) Courage was shown once again by Jem when he went back to the Radley´s House and got his pants, even though he knew that Mr. Nathan still had the other gun.  (56-57)

This quote is interesting. It shows prejudice because Jem is referring to Scout as 'girlish behavior' since Jem connects it to the hostility she shows to their plan.

This quote show racial prejudice because it is an assumption that the trespasser was a 'Negro'. Their is no evidence to show that it was an African American, so they just connect the crime to the them.

Who is the shadow outside of the Radley's house that shot at them? Was it Boo? Or was it Nathan trying to keep them away of the house? Is that who Nathan actually shot? because in the next page they say how Mr. Radley shot a Negro.

Im glad Atticus tries to teach his children about equality, he teaches them to be compassionate and empathetic towards others.
