Connie loved basketball, and would always light the candles around the place, with her matches. All the other children heard she was going to a nice big apartment, and Momma said she would love it there. As Momma reached in her pocket, she pulled out some sort of watch, wrote on a mysterious looking paper, then told Connie it was time to go. Momma said she’d take a bit longer since she had to get groceries. They all said our goodbyes, but Clare and Tom realized Connie forgot her favorite stuffed bunny. They checked the perimeter when they got outside, and saw a big gate. They ran along the periphery and rushed towards the gate. When they arrived they found something horrible, Connie's dead body. Clare, taut with fear thought, “Why did this happen, was it a ghoul, a wizard?” Tom was so terrified, he fell, and his shoe fell off. They heard a noise so they rushed back to the house, and processed what they’ve just seen.
