Daniel would show Everett how to do a task and then Everett would take the controller and repeat the task. My second experience was at work, the kids in one of my classes were learning about equal fractions. They were using fraction slices to match fractions and see how many it would take to make the other. I find this makes them stop and think about how they work the problems and how to put it into a final product. One of my discussion post for another class this week asked us to reflect on why we choose our major. By putting the students into groups or pairs they were able to help each other with the features and work together to choose the correct pictures. this worked well for the students that might not have had a full grasp on the lesson figure out what the text features were. Every day in my job I have to be cooperative with the Special education teachers I work under. She went into a great deal of detail about each different believe and why they thought that way. while that might not seem like a deep theory to cover for a fifth grade science class I felt it was much more then the average teacher would have taught.
An Experience I in school were I felt the teacher was going more into the lesson then just the basics was in a speech and debate class. We were learning about the court systems and how they worked so she took us on a field trip to sit into a day of court and we learned the procedures and what all members of the court room did and got first hand accounts from each different person in the court system, except the jury.
