All extant conifers are perennial woody plants with secondary growth.  They are the dominant plants over large areas of land, most notably the taiga of the Northern Hemisphere.

Hi, i'm Zenu - magic trichromatic strawberry. Today I wanna tell you about gymnoperms. What are gymnosperms? Gymnosperms are one of the two next to agniosperms of seed plants. Nowadays, more than 1000 species of trees and bushes grouped in 88 typesbelong to gymnsperms. However in the pastthis group was much more diverse. A characteritic feature of gymnosperms is the lack of buds covering carpel and consequently lack of fruit. Coniferous trees have great economic value in the production of sawn timber and wood paper. Mountsin pine is an inportant component of the high mountain landscapeand has a inportant ecological function. Its strongly developed root system fixes the rocky ground and prevents the scattering of soil and snow like most of these plants(on peak).
