I think no because children, medic, women and slaves could not be citizens. And not everyone was treated fairly. Only men over the age over 18 were not citizens. So the only people who were counted as citizens were men over the age of 18

I don't think it was fair, because men could only become citizens. Which meant women (and slaves), had no say in government, and they couldn't vote, just because they weren't considered citizens. That's not very fair.

No I do not think the Greek democracy was fair, mainly because after they eliminated all of the people who could not be citizens, not a lot of people could vote or make decisions, also women could not vote which is dumb because if you had a really good candidate and lots of men thought he wasn't good, but he really was. The women could have changed that and possibly made Greece a better place.

I do not think that democracy was fair in
Ancient Greece because typically only men got to vote. This was not fair. Women and other people living in Greece may have their own opinions, but they couldn't share them. This is why I think that Greece democracy was unfair.

Men were the ones that provided for their family and went to work everyday. The women just stayed home and cleaned up the house and took care of the kids. The men owned the house and owned the land, so they should be able to represent the family, be citizens and vote.

Because the men have to train for the military and the men that can vote got that opportunity, either born into that status, or working their way up. I don't think at all that the woman should be able to vote, if they didn't own land then why should they be able to vote. It said right on the document that all the women did was get keep the house and kids in order, and get married so that they can keep the family going and it did great for Greece at that time. LIFE ISN'T FAIR!

It doesn't matter if men's went to military training, everyone should be treated fair and although they might have more power they cant treat you like your a slave, at time kids can be younger than women like a 29 year old but they can still have right the vote.

I think yes because the people who are defending could have a say in politics. The men got to do a lot of things like holding land and defending their lands. Also, with 300,000 (About 0.1% of the US population) is still a lot of people to deal with. The sound would be extremely loud if everyone were there. Finally, if the men and women had jobs, there would probably be no one to take care of the babies or children at home, the parents would be at work instead.

No because outsiders from other cities couldn't marry into a family in Athens which I thought was unfair. If you were ever a slave, you wouldn't ever not be a slave. Honestly I would say it was. In those times men were viewed as superior. People are saying no because our society today is different than Greece so people view it as not fair. But how women did things in Greece isn't much different than in Egypt. Men did the voting and provide for family. Women watched the children and clean.

I said no because there was a lot of people in Greece (for ancient times.) The fact that only like 15% of all of those people were eligible to be a citizen in not right. 45,000 out of 300,000 is small. They should of let more people be able to be citizens so that it would be a little more fair.

I dont think that the democracy is fair because in the united states, all women and men have the same rights. Also, I think it is wrong to have slaves and even if we did have slaves, then they should at least have rights since they live in the area.
