Later in the article it is stated that there are a minority of people who also believe in this view of "real Americans" which 23% said they need to be Christian to be American. However, I do not think that there is just one ¨American¨ way of thinking (as some might interpret Wood´s quote), because if there were, then disagreeing with it would make you ¨un-American,¨ even though one of the most special things about America is that you can think and say whatever you want. Another thing I disagree with on Facing History is Vicente Martinez´s claim that the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights are used to oppress racial/cultural minorities today, when these two documents disproportionately protect minority rights. Racism is unfortunately still a big problem in America but the law is not an obstacle to progress (only those who do not enforce the law for everyone equally).
