Religion: Roman Catholic
I am not a devout Catholic and still to this day my faith keeps on wavering and I am still working on strengthening my faith. But one experience made me believe in the existence of God. One afternoon when I was in elementary my mom tasked me and my older sister to buy dinner across the street. At that time we were still learning to cross the road on our own. We were successful in buying dinner, and we safely crossed the road on our own. But when it came to going back home my sister crossed the road before me, and even though the roads in our area aren't as big as the ones in the city it was scary for me. So my sister crossed the road to get me again, but before we could cross the road my older sister crashed into a motorcycle. And I remember crying on the streets, and being scared. The police car arrived and my sister was brought to the hospital, leaving me behind with my aunt at home. My sister is safe but that highlighted the first time I prayed with sincerity and truly put my faith to God.

Religion: Roman Catholic

Back when I was still in 3rd grade, an unexpected disaster struck Iligan City and caused floods where the water level in some parts of the city was high. At that time, I was sleeping soundly in my bedroom when my sister woke me up telling me to get my things and pack. I was disoriented and anxious at what was happening when my grandfather yelled at me to get out or we’d be trapped inside our house since the water was rising. I was so terrified and confused as to what was going on that I begged to God to keep my family safe, my brother was not with us since he was staying with my father’s parents in Barangay Hinaplanon. We immediately evacuated in our neighbor's two-storey house; I noticed that there were a lot of people who evacuated there, and we were all silently praying for the flooding to stop immediately. The next morning, we were informed by a neighbor that the water level in barangay Hinaplanon was high and that there were many casualties as a result of the flood. We were concerned because that was where my father's family and my brother were staying; however, my father assured us that they were safe and had been evacuated as well. I am not a devout catholic but that event made me believe that God is real. I was very grateful to God for protecting us from harm, and my faith in God grew stronger as a result of what happened.

Even if I was born a Seventh-day Adventist, I had doubts about the existence of God. For some reason, I want more proof of him. Our Lord really made me realize that I was wrong for questioning him. There was this one night that I was struggling to breathe due to a runny nose. My nostrils are small and I really could not breathe at that time. I already prepared myself to die and yes, I am that dramatic. The only thing that went inside my mind is to read the bible and there, I found a verse in the book of Matthew where I was really moved. Through that night, I realized the fact that God is real and he is our Lord of many wonders.

13 years ago, when my mother left my father. It was hard for me because I am the eldest son and my younger sister just got her 2nd birthday. During that day, my Dad would always cry in secret because he don't want us to see him crying or to see him weak. I wanted to comfort him, but what could I do. I was just a kid. 6 months later, my Dad decided to go on manila for good. But my sister and I stayed here along with my Grandparents. When we were in our teenage years with my sister, our father returned to his hometown. But he already had a family. So, my Grandma taught us to just always pray to God for our parents. And Grandma also tells us that when the second coming of God, He'll bring back together our family when we obey and follow God's will. And that is how I believe in God.
