UDL is a way to create an inclusive environment for those who need extra help due to their disability. It is a three step process/set of standards that can that can be implemented within the classroom to include everyone. When making a lesson it will be critical to make sure that I have multiple methods for presenting the information and that it is hands on rather then lecture. The hands on aspect will also help with the fidgeting (which is needed to help kids keep their attention on the season instead of floating away). In my classroom I might also keep a box of fidget toys that students could take at their discretion if one day focusing becomes to hard for them. Service dogs can also be a huge assist for students as they can provide physical and emotion and stimulation aid. I feel like if they are needed in the classroom it will be my job to make sure other students understand them for what they are and not as just a cute dog.

UDL is a way that the classroom can be a place were everyone learns, not matter what there strengths, and weakness are. The way that you can use UDL when making a lesson plan is to make sure that you are presenting the material in different ways for different learning styles. You might want to have a visual for the kids that learn the best from seeing, then have something that they can touch, or hold for the kids that need to physically do something to understand the concept. Fidget toys in the classroom can help them keep there attention on what they are doing. If when you listen to music you get more work done, then that is a fidget. I think that service dogs can be emotional support for people, just like humans are to each other. The dog will always love you, so if will not ever tell you that you are not useful, of worthless. The way that I would incorporate this into my classroom would be to allow the kids listen to music. I am like that, when I am doing to homework if I listen to music I get more done, and the quality is better. I do not hear all of the other distractions that are around me.

UDL is universal design for learning in classrooms. I can use it to make a lesson by looking at who is in my class and their needs for learning, maybe let the kids have different ways of showing me what they know. On educational videos include closed captioning. Set clear goals, what barriers do I have? Then I can decide what media I will use to illustrate material to my students. I will provide many different choices in learning.

The purpose of UDL is to ensure that your lesson plan is structured around the specific students in your classroom and allows each of them to use their own skills to demonstrate what they have learned. Fidget toys can be used as a way for students to maintain attention while also easing and comforting them because they feel like their fidgeting is not a distraction. Service dogs assist people with low or no vision, anxiety disorders, individuals on the autism spectrum, and even depression. My classroom can be modeled to include everyone by ensuring that each student has the opportunity to showcase their skills, ensuring fidget toys are available to all students that need one, and by ensuring that anyone, no matter what the issue, feels welcome and safe within my classroom.

Universal Design for Learning is created to assure that each and every student, no matter disability or not, are accommodated in the classroom. I believe that fidget toys can be great if used correctly. Sometimes they can be completely distracting to you or the class. However, I find that using a fidget toy allows people to focus more. Whenever I become an teacher I want to have a box of fidget toys and whenever a student comes in class slightly early they could play with them until class starts. Owning a service dog is a great concept and I believe is not deployed as much as other tactics for people with disabilities. These dogs can help people with apparent disabilities such as blindness. Today after class I saw Preston, from the Adaptive Technology Lab, walking down the sidewalk with his service dog and I knew that it would be difficult for him to do that without the dog. For non-apparent, such as anxiety or depression, the dog could help ease the stress levels of day-to-day life. I would allow students to bring service dogs and to help accommodate those students and their service dogs appropriately.

Fidget toys can be very useful, for an array of students. Personally, I am very high strung and fidget a lot. Fidget toys calm me down quite a bit. However, sometime I do find myself getting lost in them, which is a rational worry. Service dogs provide companionship as well as a very helpful resource to people with certain disabilities. Incorporating ways and means for students to deal with all sorts of disabilities as well as educate other students on those disabilities help to make an inclusive learning facility.

This type of teaching method teaches towards including different students by the different ways they learn. Fidget toys can help students focus in the classroom. Sometimes disabilities can get in the way of learning, like OCD or Anxiety, and fidget toys can help the student focus on the learning environment instead of what's going on in their head. (The fidget toys can be used as a grounding technique for students)

Service dogs can help people with disabilities by providing a variety of services including guiding people with low vision, sensing signs of seizures/providing services during an episode, or even providing emotional support during stressful situations.

My classroom can be modeled to include everyone by making sure my supplies can be easily accessed to all students, even ones with disabilities. I think a classroom in the shape of a "U" would be useful in a classroom with ASL students so they can see each other and sign more easily. I also want to be mindful of students with sensory issues by being mindful of what is being shown in class, the amount of and types of noises being present in the environment, and being mindful of what may agitate students.

In the case of visual disabilities, service dogs can be of great importance. They can give a person independence when it comes to getting around.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) aids educators in transforming curriculum to meet the standards and needs of diverse students. The way people learn varies and approaching this by minimizing barriers and maximizing barriers helps all learners understanding. Students come to class with different perspectives, but genuine learning opportunities for all can stem learning. I can use it in making a lesson by understanding brain networks, and the uniqueness of my students. I will design a flexible and accommodating plan that supports and challenges all students. There are questions to ask myself and then principles within UDL that include representation, action and expression, and engagement that needs to be met in multiple ways.
Fidget toys can help those in my classroom with ADHD cope. Or even just because of floating attention from students. I want to engage my students and by having toys in the classroom they can have effective distractions that don't distract other students. By knowing that fidgeting isn't a problem, but that it is a solution is also important.
There are a lot of questions people have when it comes to service dogs, disabilities and how we can aid different people. Service dogs help those with either non-apparent or apparent disabilities in their daily lives. They can guide their owners, help them cope, and help with day to day tasks.
My classroom can be modeled to include everyone by addressing what a person needs each day. If they need their service dog then I will make sure my other sudents are not confused. If they need to communicate in a different way then I will aid them by learning myself, or bringing in a translator. I can have other students learn as well if the individual wants about what my student needs each day so that we can all work together. If we have a deaf student then I am sure it would be beneficial for us all to learn some signs in ASL. Trying to combat the confusion around disabilities from all in my classroom and being knowledgeable and not confused myself is important.

I think it would be awesome to have a basket of fidget toys that I could give my students during class if they need one or if they can't focus.

UDL is a took to help all students learn information in their own respective ways. To effectively use this in my classroom I would incorporate auditory, visual, and kenesthetic forms of leaning within my lessons. Good fidget toys can assist student by giving them something to do while sitting there, it relieves the need for more stimulation in the brain. Service dogs can be helpful in making sure everybody has accessibility and comfort in their day to day lives. They do this by doing any variety of things; from helping a blind person navigate a new area, or helping a person with PTSD be able to relax in public. I could model these activities by allows students to have fidget toys as long as they are not distracting, and make sure any student with a service dog is effectively able to use it as much as they need.

UDL, which is Universal Design for Learning, has the purpose of aiding students so that each individual can learn in a way that best suits their needs. UDL includes each student contributing their background to allow everyone to learn and include these differences. Each teacher has a diverse group of students and must find a way to best help them learn. It is explained in the video that students must obtain knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for learning and the curriculum can be manipulated to allow individual students to reach all of these things. A curriculum can be designed to allow each student to advance in their understanding of certain subjects and topics. Some tips are also given to teachers that can help them to help their students, such as providing different ways for students to express their knowledge. If I were an English teacher assigning a project in which each student must read a book and create a project showcasing what they took away from the book, it is important that I am flexible with what students can do within their projects. I could use this in a lesson by assessing each of my students' individual and unique needs and forming a lesson or assignment that is flexible for each of those needs. For example, students with dyslexia may be able to express their knowledge and skills thorough a visual project rather than writing an essay. Furthermore, teachers must allow for multiple options for students to get engaged in learning.
The second video discusses fidgeting; teachers must be understanding of students with ADHD or other disorders that take away from a student's ability to focus. There is a certain stigma surrounding fidget toys which projects them as being a distraction rather than a tool to help students focus. As fidget toys have been popularized, many toys that may be distracting to others, such as fidget spinners, are representing all fidget toys. Instead of being a distraction, the purpose fidget toys is to help a student focus on a task by allowing their hands to focus on something.
The next video depicts people who are deaf going through a Starbucks drive-thru that allows for people to place their order with sign language. This is extremely important because it allows for people who are deaf or have hearing loss feel more accepted in society.
The final video discusses basic facts and answers frequently asked questions regarding service dogs. Service dogs are explained as a type of "assistance dog" that is trained in a certain way that allows them to help people with disabilities. It is then explained that those who use service dogs include a wide variety of people with many different types of disabilities. These different disabilities could include, but are not limited to, hearing and sight impairment, seizures, and different mental illnesses. It is then explained that service dogs are protected by the government so that they are allowed to enter any service or business that "serves the general public." It is very important for people to be aware of those with service dogs and the laws regarding them. People must be understanding that people need service dogs, even if their disability may not be physically visible. People with a service dog should never be expected to explain themselves to those who do not understand or are not accepting of them. Having a basic awareness of service dogs and those that need them is important because it allows people to be more accepting of each other, which leads to people valuing others and their differences.

In my class room I can have some accessible fidget toys that wont be distracting to others, so that students may be able to focus on an explanation or talk that I am giving. Service dogs can help lead visually impaired, help with those who have seizures etc. In my class room I can create activities that involve all students with or with out disabilities. I should put faith into my students that if they want to do something they can and of course if they need help I can be right there to help them.

UDL is a program that allows kids with disabilities to have the same education and learning mechanisms as regular students. It gives teachers an Idea on what to do for children that have physical, mental and learning disabilities. We can not spoon feed these children their homework and their education because then they will not be learning with this program it allows these students to learn at the level of the peers while it fits and helps with their disability. Fidget toys can help kids in the class with ADHD or ADD. In order for these kids to focus the need to be doing something like walk around, tap their toe or click their pen. These fidgets my seem distracting to a teacher but it is the kids way of staying focus. As a teacher you can give these kids quiet little toys like play dough or a squeezing stress ball. This will allow the student to get their energy out and focus into the lesson. service dogs can be used in many different ways, they can be for the blind, kids with autism and even kids who suffer with seizers. These dogs a not limited to one disability and can help with many different things. They can lead blind students around their school, the can calm a child down if they are having an episode or are very frustrated and they can help children who suffer from seize by protecting them. When I am a teacher I can model my classroom in a way that is assessable for everyone. There will be room for children in wheel chairs to more around as the please and I will have all my supplies places in areas that everyone will be able to reach without assistance. There will also be a drawer in my desk that will have some quiet toys that if a child needs to they can grab them and use them during class. Hopefully if I model my classroom in this way everyone will have equal access to everything and this will impact their educational growth.

UDL is to design a class in a way that helps make lessons more accessible for people with different disabilities, but which also makes the lesson more convenient for everyone. For example, I can upload notes and slides for students who cannot hear my voice, but this also helps the student who may have zoned out for a moment during class. Fidget toys can help students focus their excess attention on a non-intrusive task so that the attention does not distract them in a larger sense. Service dogs may help guide the blind, but they may also make those with autism or other non-visible disabilities feel at ease and more comfortable. My classroom can provide outlets and hands-on learning for attention to those with excess attention, can accommodate service animals, and could be designed in a way that optimizes the class for everyone.

UDL would be very beneficial in the classroom. Accommodations that I put in place for a student with a disability can be applied to every student, therefore helping everybody. For instance, typing out notes from a Power Point with spots to handwrite personal notes would benefit every student when studying. Fidget toys can also be helpful when you're teaching a student for an 8-hour day. Fidget toys can break up the monotony, therefore extending the time frame for focus (I loved the fidget toy video!). Service dogs are also beneficial for people with certain disabilities, because the dog can be watchful for different things. The dog can watch for seizures, watch for obstacles, etc. My classroom can be modeled for everyone by constantly changing as needed. My kids will change, their needs will change, and I will change. Different curriculum will require different things as well.

UDL includes accommodations that may help individuals with disabilities, but these accomodations assist and support all students regardless of ability level. One example of using UDL in a lesson would be to provide images along with new and unfamiliar vocabulary words. By adding an image with the word and definition, this assists students who may need the additional visual support to better understand and comprehend the defintion and/or concept. Fidget toys should be available to all students in the classroom setting. This object/toy provides students with an opportunity to focus their attention on mainly the task on hand, but the floating attnetion on a mindless activity like spinning or clicking an object or messing with stress balls and other fidgets. A service dog can assist people with apparent disabilities through assistance navigating, or those with non apparent disabilities like watching for warning signs of a seizure. The best way to design a classroom to be modeled to include everyone would be to provide accomodations to all students in ways that does not make it clear which students may struggle in specific areas. For example, add images to all vocabulary words when first learning the new terms. You can also have an entire basket filled with various fidgets placed in the back of the room for ALL students to access if desired.

UDL is a way of designing and planning that makes things accessible to everyone. It is basically thinking about those that may have certain needs or disabilities first, and then designing and planning to accommodate those needs. When planning lessons, I can think about the needs of my diverse learners first and plan my lesson to tailor their needs rather than planning a lesson and then trying to change it afterward to accommodate learners. By planning lessons that are functional for learners with special needs or disabilities, this can be beneficial to all learners. For example, if I have a English language learner in my classroom, I can incorporate a lot of visuals in my lesson and use simple language. These accommodations can also be helpful for other students who might be visual learners and for all students' because the content would be in simpler terms.
Fidget toys can assist in the classroom for those students who have ADHD or another disorder that causes them to have trouble focusing. By giving students something to do with their hands or even feet, it can actually help them to focus on reading or a lesson you are teaching.
Service dogs can assist people who are blind or deaf with navigation and travel, people with emotional/mental/intellectual disabilities as emotional support animals, and many other people with other types of disabilities.
My classroom can be modeled to include everyone foremost by creating an inclusive environment that supports and accepts all students and creates a community of learners that support one another. My classroom can openly discuss and celebrate differences among people. Content and lessons can be taught using the UDL framework so that all students can have access to the education and resources they need to succeed. Also my classroom layout can be set up in a way that allows all students to enter and move through the classroom freely.

The UDL helps everyone accessible to learn even if others may seem different. The differences between people may have walls to separate but with the UDL,
it helps eliminate that wall and welcomes everyone. Fidget toys can help stop someone's mind from wandering and to focus on the lesson at hand. We all have a section of our brain where they begin to think about something off topic but with fidget toys, our brain can focus on that and the main part of our focus is what is presented. Service dogs help emotionally and physically with people living with disabilities. They make their lives easier through emotional and physical support. Fidget toys can assist students in the classroom by allowing the student to use their excess energy and still focus in class.

UDL is an approach to learning that minimizes barriers and maximizes learning for all students. Essentially, it is meeting a child where they are at. You teach them in the way they need to be taught, and consider their unique characteristics and interests when teaching them, and doing it for every child. When making lesson plans, consider your goals for their learning, and consider what kinds of barriers each child has when it comes to learning. Fidget toys can be very helpful for students in the classroom. It allows students with ADHD to fidget in the classroom, which in turn helps them focus. They are also helpful to student sin the classroom without ADHD because they are less distracting than a person who is ADHD actually fidgeting. Service dogs are very helpful for people with disabilities. People generally connect service dogs solely with people who aare blind. The service dogs help these people get around more safely, like alerting their owner when it is safe to cross the road. But, service dogs are helpful for people of all sorts. For instance, people with seizures can have a service dog that can sense when they are about to start seizing. This is incredibly helpful for the person with the seizure disorder, and everyone else around them as well. My mom has epilepsy. She and I are both very allergic to dogs so she can't get a service dog, but if she had one it would have saved her from a lot of injuries. Seizures are unexpected for everyone involved, and if a dog could alert me that my mom was about to have a seizure I could run over to her and keep her from falling and hitting her head on something (She has hit her head on a can of soup and almost fractured her skull). It is also just nice to be able to give the other people in the room some warning. Watching someone have a seizure can be scary, but having a few seconds to realize what is about to happen would be much more comforting.

I would use UDL in my classroom by figuring out what stage of artist they are and altering how the assignment to their ability. I understand not everyone is an artists so altering the assignment to their abilities will allow them to not become discouraged and hopefully enjoy art more. I was just looking up how one would make their dog a service dog. There are three different services these dogs can be apart of. One is for the psychically disabled. These dogs can be the eyes and ears for these individual and do things like open doors for them. The other two are more for the non apparent. These are emotional service and therapy dogs. These dogs are their for emotional support. My classroom will be an art room so i feel like it would be fairly easy to include everyone with whatever disability they may have. Art is very broad.

UDL is a program that minimizes barriers and maximizes learning for ALL students. Each student has their own background, needs, strengths, and interests. Students all learn in their own unique ways. As teachers, we can support our students by remaining flexible in our curriculum that ensures it supports and challenges every student in the classroom. When making a lesson, I should ask myself what goals do I have and also what barriers I may run into. Lessons should represent student's background knowledge, allow the students to show their understanding, and include student's interests to provide active engagement.
Service dogs are for those who have disabilities to help provide some sort of stability. These dogs are beneficial for those with seen and unseen disabilities. People with seen disabilities such as visual impairments have service dogs to help guide them around the atmosphere around them to ensure their safety. Those with disabilities that are unseen, such as, people with anxiety have service dogs for comfort when having an anxiety attack.
To ensure that each student is understanding my lessons, I plan on using many strategies. First of all, building a relationship to understand my students is highly important so that I can understand what is going on in and out of the classroom and how it effects them in their understanding. Secondly, I would like to utilize a scale for how they are feeling in the moment. I want to be able to walk up to a student and ask them to give me a number on how they are feeling in the moment and provide help when needed. I would also like to provide a space where students can go to relax/escape for a little bit so they can refocus themselves then come back ready to learn.

UDL stand for universal design of learning. UDL advocates lesson plans that tear down barriers and maximizes learning potential. All students are different and have their own learning style, needs, strengths/weaknesses, and interests. Teachers need to be flexible with their curricula so that all students have an equal opportunity to learn. Teachers should ask themselves if there are any learning styles being neglected in their lesson plan and if there are then the gap must be filled. As an art teacher I can make all of my power points and handouts accessible to students on a cloud, provide individual instruction during studio time, and make sure that I address all learning styles when introducing new concept. Fidget toys are a valuable tool in the classroom. Some students have ADHD and need a way to channel their energy. Having a small toy for them to play with in class is a great way to keep them engaged. These toys are usually non-intrusive and do not take attention away from the learning environment. Service dogs are valuable to all kinds of people with disabilities. People with apparent disabilities have service dogs to guide them, hear for them, and physically support them. People with non apparent disabilities can have service dogs to help them remain calm and keep them grounded in stressful situations. As an art teacher it shouldn't be too hard to include everyone in my curriculum. Art is an incredibly broad field and there are many ways to teach and understand it. Everyone has their own unique way of expressing themselves and I plan on allowing people to be creative and unique.

A UDL stands for Universal Design in Learning, and is used to make lessons and learning accessible for all students. I could use this by making different project options to accommodate for my students different learning and work styles, and make sure I have different approaches for the same problem to see if that can help my student learn. Fidget toys can help keep students attention while keeping them quiet and having something to keep there wandering mind preoccupied. My classroom can be modeled to accommodate any and all types of students by rearranging furniture, adjusting lessons or teaching methods, and getting to know the students so I can better understand their struggles.

UDL stands for Universal Design in Learning and it is used to make sure that students are getting the same the opportunities when it comes to education as everyone else. Fidget toys can help my students who have trouble focusing actually focusing on the lesson instead of them having trouble focusing. Service dogs can assist students by being there to help them see where they are going. I would model my classroom by making everything accessible to everyone in my class and would make everyone one feel like they can do anything in the room.

UDL is Universal Design in Learning, and it is used to make sure that what is being shared is accessible to every student who is using it. This can be done in many ways in a classroom such as teaching the material in ways that it covers visual learning, auditory learning, and Kinesthetic . It also can be done with AAC's and the like, making the room engaging(such as using yoga balls for chairs, fidget toys, etc.), accessible to students who may use wheelchairs or other means of getting around, and being sure not to overload children who may have sensory challenges. Fidget toys are great because they allow kids who need them enough extra stimulation so that they can focus. Service dogs are a great way to keep someone who needs emotional support, PTSD recovery, or seizure warnings in a classroom, they can also help people with visual disabilities get around the room/school.

Universal Design in Learning is education's adaption of Universal Design principles: design with the least in mind such that everyone benefits. Attempting to include every learning type in representation, engagement, and expression of curricular material can assist every student to better achieve. Fidget toys allow people with hyper-active floating attentions to focus better. Dogs may help people with visual disabilities navigate better, may assist in emotional regulation for those with learning disabilities or PTSD, and many other things. Using UDL in lesson planning, having fidget toys readily available for students, and understanding the need for dogs and the necessary accommodations for them all will help me create a more inclusive classroom.

Universal Design is a way to ensure accessibility and inclusion of all learners. Each lesson should be appropriate or differentiated for every type of student. This should not be something the teacher had to do "extra," but it should be built into the classroom and curriculum. Fidget toys are not the distraction, they are a coping mechanism. Using a fidget toy can actually help students stay focused on the task at hand, instead of their environment and other distractors. Service dogs can help people with all types of disabilities. The dog can go everywhere with you to help you get around, hear, decrease stress, etc. Service dogs can assist people with hearing impairments, visual impairments, mental illnesses, diabetes, and more. My classroom will be inclusive of everyone by the physical layout, atmosphere, and social expectations. I will create an accessible layout for those with mobility and visual impairments. The curriculum will have differentiation for those who need accommodations. I will ensure a positive atmosphere by being excited and positive. I will have expectations for all students to be the same and to accept and embrace our differences so no student feels like an outsider.

UDL or Universal design for learning accommodates for all different learners. When your making a lesson plan you need to create different paths to the learning and not allow one way to the to the learning objective. Fidget toys assist students in the classroom by allowing them to feel some type of sensory object to help them focus on their learning. Fidgeting is a coping mechanism for students to help them focus so fidget toys help by not distracting students around them. Service dogs can help people who have visual problems or even a mental illness to help with depression. My classroom can be modeled to include everyone by having fidgets readily available for my students and allowing service dogs in the classroom.

Using those toys can allow students to use multiple senses and cope with troubles focusing. Service dogs can assist those who have vision problems, or they can even help people with mental disorders, like depression or anxiety. My classroom will be inclusive, and I will definitely have fidget toys in my classroom for those who need it.
