We are the Croatian team and we are looking forward to cooperating with you all on this project. We are a team of first year students at King Zvonimir High School in Krk, Croatia. Some of us attend a vocational program for hotel and tourism services and some of us attend a general program know as gimnasium in Croatia. Our school is on the largest Croatian island called Krk (a strange name for you guys because it might be difficult to pronounce and is very short) located in the North Adriatic. Our island has 20 thousand inhabitants living in smaller and bigger towns around the island. Our school is in the largest town which has around 5 thousand inhabitants and which is also called Krk (on most Croatian islands the name of the biggest town and of the island are the same).  

Our school is the only high school on our island, but it is a small school with 350 students so we all know each other pretty good, both freshmen and seniors. The school has a long history and it celebrated its 100^th birthday in 2021. Students can choose between different programs at our school, so some of our friends are studying to become cooks or waiters, some are going to be car mechanics or plumbers one day, and some will work in hotels and other tourism services. And we also have those studying a general program which prepares them for university. 

Our team hopes to learn more about the others in this project and about their culture, interests and habits. We are a mixed team of boys and girls with different interest from sports and music to books and films. We like spending our free time with our friends and just hang out. Most of us have summer jobs so we are already used to the business world, and since we are in a tourist area we come across a lot of tourists from different European countries during summer. We hope this experience will help us is this project. That’s it from us for the beginning. Bok (this means goodbye in Croatian).
