Johnsy and Mr. Berman met after coming to the same conclusion about their lives, they realized they had done the same thing to each other and saved each other’s lives.  Johnsy and Mr. Berman survived and were good friends for the rest of their lives.

She started feeling much better,  and when the doctor came to check how she is doing, he was shocked: “you got well so fast… what happened?” Sue and Johnsy told him what happened with a lot of excitement and the doctor got excited as well. 
A day after, she started painting a beautiful painting and she called him “positive thinking might cure you, but negetive thinking will make you feel worse for sure”. It was a special painting because of the story behind it. It got all over the world and touched a lot of people’s hearts.

Johnsy and Sue looked at the vine outside the window, sadly they saw the was vine empty without even one leaf on it…….
Sue started to cry.
 Johnsy asked Sue to leave the room and her alone, because every time from now she's going to die.
Johnsy illness had gotten worse.
She stopped listening to the doctor's advice at all and she became more desperate and depressed everyday she stopped believing she would live.
She locked herself in her room and didn't let to Sue and Mr Behrman get inside.
After a few days Johnsy died…
Even though Sue was sad she was kind of peaceful because she knew Johnsy at least happier and feeling beter then how she used to because of her illness. She wasn't sure Johnsy is truly beter but she hopped she is. 
Day after Johnsy death Sue went to Mr Behrman's apartment to invite him to Johnsy's funeral, when she got to his apartment and strangely the door was wide open.
Sue entered inside.
All confused Sue saw Mr Behrman with Johnsy's doctor. It turned out Mr Behrman had the same illness Johnsy had, but he was much older and sicker, he didn't have a lot of chances to survive.
Few weeks later Mr Behrman died too. Sue founded him downstairs lying on the floor all wet. When Sue founded him she also founded a note in his packet that he intended to give her, he wrote there "I'll make sure for you that Johnsy is 
feeling beter…"
With smile and tears Sue was finaly peaceful.

After Sue opened the window they saw that the leaves remained on the tree and because of this they were very surprised. They later discovered that 
Mr. Berman risked his life in the rain in cold weather because of a leaf painting that he painted to help Johnsy.

 The painting of the leaf looked so real that Johnsy believed that this leaf was real.

 but in the end Mr. Behrman

 had a pneumonia

That made a terrible health condition for him

But in the end the doctors managed to saved him and he became very famous thanks to the leaf he painted.

and later

This leaf becomes Mr. Baherman 
masterpiece.
