This story, either defined best as a graphic novel or illustrative memoir, takes a deep and uncensored look into the journey of a family as they immigrate into America from Vietnam. Told out of synchronous order, this story pulls the reader back and forth across various dilemmas, such as forced childhood trauma and the logistics of immigrating. This story is, at its core, a story of necessary survival and the wounds that come from it.
