Snowball: Cunning and fair, this pig respects the other animals just as they respect him and leads them well before being driven out by napoleons dogs. He comes up with many good ideas such as the windmill "electricity he said, could operate threshing machines, ploughs, harrows, rollers and reapers and binders, besides supply every stall withits own electric light, hot and cold water and an electric heater". He and napoleon are rivals as napoleon always disagrees with snowball regardless of whether or not he actually thinks it's a good idea, for instance the windmill. At the time, napoleon disagreed with the windmill however shortly after snowball was driven out, he claimed not only that the windmill would be built, but also that it was his idea "on the contrary, it was he who had advocated it in the beginning."

Boxer: boxer is a very large, and very strong plough horse, he did much of the work on the windmill, he is also determined and loyal. He gets up earlier than all the other animals to work, his strength and determination inspires all of the other animals to work, his motto, "I will work harder!" really coveys how he feels about working. He is also very loyal to who ever the leader happens to be, however he is not very bright as although his second motto "napoleon is always right" definetly shows his loyalty, it also show that napoleon is easily exploiting him as a result of his lower intelligence. Boxer was later removed from the farm and taken away to be slaughtered.

Napoleon: he portrays a mean and vicious character who is the leader of animal farm he is based of Joseph Stalin. He loves power and seems to change his mind he is hypocritical and manipulative. "Four legs are good, two legs are bad." Towards the end of novel Napoleon starts to walk on two legs and people are too scared to stand up to him to say what they believe in because he has the vicious dogs.

"No animal shall kill any other animal without cause." Napoleon decided to change the seven commandments and is being shaped to become a human. Napoleon wasn't keen on humans at the start but slowly drifts from changing the commandments and giving speeches about how the pigs have more authority than any other animal in the farm.

The old commandment before Napoleon changed it was "all animals are equal" but after Napoleon changes it, becomes "all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

Napoleons revolution had changed dramatically as he starts to walk on to legs inter reacts with humans drinking, sleeping in beds, playing card games and arguing. "With all the animals staring out side the window " having an idea of what is happening and then Napoleon changes the farm back to Manor Farm and then the animals no what they are in for!
